Hi Guys,

I took the kids to Disneyland until lunch, so I didn't have time to come check in until now, but it looks like no one else was checking in either...LOL! I'm glad I came home when I did, because it started getting very packed and hot. But the kids had fun splurging and all, so it was worth it for them even though it really tired me out for some reason...
I did my scheduled workout before we left, so i don't have to do it now, yay!

When I got home I went online to schedule some fieldtrips ds had asked me for in the car on the way home. I started doing a search for some other ones, because one of the books we will be reading is about a boy who becomes blind and learns to work with a guide dog. All I was looking for was some guide dog school to visit for the kids to see firsthand how it works. Well, I got totally blown away when I saw that we could actually be puppy raisers, taking the puppy at 8 weeks old and raising it until 18 months when it gets taken in for formal training! It totally blew my mind and I watched a short video about puppy raising, there is a place here not too far and for some reason I got all emotional and excited! So I sent a request for an application form! I don't know if we will end up doing it, but I just had to send in for the extra info! I am going to keep this quiet from ds until dh and I are sure we will do it, because he would be all over it! You get to take the puppy to different obedience classes, the vet and then you get to hand over the puppy to the blind person at graduation time! How amazing is that?
I just had to share it, not much to do with exercise, I know...
I hope you all are doing well!

Hi Cendrine!
Well I'm back from vacation. I have lots to NOT tell. We got to MT; it was 86 the night we got there and then a big storm blew in and it rained and stormed every day we were there and never got above 52 degrees! So, I made the best of it and my girlfriend and I shopped...EVERY DAY! Just trying to help the economy! Then yesterday when we left it warmed up to 70. So I never even had a pair of shorts on! No lake time, no kayaking...but we had the fireplace going, I read my book, shopped and we made kale soup! LOL! It was still relaxing to be away! Anyway, we did walk a little a couple of evenings, but other than that my exercise was shopping!

So, I came back to work today; my boss is here this week so didn't get to workout this morning, but hopefully can get started tomorrow! I have a lot to catch up with all of you and past posts!

Cendrine, the puppy thing sounds great! I have a friend who did that and loved it! It would probably work well for you since you're home more and would be a great experience for the kids! I hope it works out for you! (But it is a lot of work!)

Good news, I came home and there was a letter from insurance company saying they approved my migraine medicine (remember they were going to reject me?). Anyway, they approved me for twice what I get, but YEAH! I called my doctor's office and sent a big thank you for reacting so quickly for me!

Okay, hope you are all well! I don't even know where to start with my workouts so maybe I'll do cardio tomorrow! I missed you all!

Did everyone see the blog update! Sounds like Shock Cardio is coming along. I noticed that none of they guys are in the rehearsal pics.

Jo Good to see you back! I'm so sorry that you didn't have good weather! Hopefully you and your friend still had some fun!

Cendrine That puppy idea sounds fun but it would be so hard to give up the puppy! We lost our last dog (we used to have 2 ) last Oct, she was 16 yrs old! I miss have a dog so much but we really can't get another one because ds has such bad allergies/asthma.

DD was home sick yesterday, the day care called and said she had a fever of 101 so had to cancel my patients and rush home. DH stayed home with her today and she seems much better this evening. I did post yesterday but it was really early (as ds had to be at hockey camp for 6:30 am) and I think my post got lost and another started.

I hate the stress of working when my kids are sick, I feel so guilty about neglecting my patients and guilty about neglecting my kids.:(

Jo!!!! Welcome back! I really missed you around here! So sorry about the weather! But obviously that didn't stop you from having fun! Fireplace sounds nice too!
I'm so glad for you that the insurance approved the meds, what a relief!
I'm looking forward to hearing more of your trip.
Dh definitely had to cancel any plans for bellvue...:( Good thing is he still has a job. They were cutting more jobs last week and his counterpart was one of them (the guy has been with the company longer, so dh really expected to be the one to be let go) But now, as nice as it is to have his job still, he has to pick up all the stuff from the other guy until some other solutions can be found, so definitely no time for a trip... I would have loved to hang out with you, next time, ok? It could be around Christmas, but not sure.

Kim, I'm sorry that your daughter was sick! I can only imagine how hard it must be to be torn between taking care of your job outside of the house and your job at home! Praying for a quick recovery for you daughter!
