6 Monthers Alumni - Sunday

I'll be back to post more later but this morning it's finally cool enough I can workout! It's only 78 in our room...so off I go! Today our high is only supposed to be 90 so we're finally cooling down!

Hey Jo! Looks like another quiet day in ALUMNI LAND!

The official RT is now OVER!!! The T-12 girls and I are hanging out at the suite, catching up on email and some much needed SITTING time! LOL We're going to dinner and meeting up with the Tri Staters at 4pm.

This morning's Book Camp/Kickbox class was another great class with Cathe. Then it was off to the diner for the farewell breakfast (I had 2 poached eggs and dry toast....as clean as I could get and I'm happy with that!).

OK..getting some stuff done. I'll check in with you all tomorrow sometime, either before I head home or tomorrow night after I do laundry, play with the kids and get them to bed!

Gayle

Oh my goodness! I feel so good to have done a structured workout today!!! I did disc 19 - chest, shoulders and triceps! I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow! YaHOOOOO!!!

Gayle, I'm so proud of how well you did with your eating! Way to go! Also, I'm so glad for you and Chrissy to have been able to participate in the roadtrip! And, I'm so glad we got little glimpses via th webcam.

I'm off to do some laundry and DH is making his world famous clam chowder. We have friends coming over for a BBQ later so will be fixing them healthy salads and DH will fix halibut on the grill.

Talk to everyone later!

Kim, I also wanted to congrats you on the 2 lbs! What a nice surprise huh?

Cendrine, sounds like you had a very busy but fun day yesterday! I haven't had tilapia in a while and it sounds good!

Rachel, rain???? Rain is my life! LOL! We could use some here now!

Okay, I must go get busy; need to run to Costco today too....

Hey gals
the few that are around today anyway. The sun has finally come out after a week of rain and i was able to go to the grocery store. I think I am going toforget how to grocery shop since I have been just taking stuff that I have already made out of the freezer for dinners, I do not need to really buy alot of stuff. I do wish I was a better planner so I could go ahead and plan for a few weekends in advance and then I would not have to go to the store every week except for just the fresh things. Oh well that leaves me room to improve I guess.

So who all is starting the June rotation this week? Cendrine I know you are in. I was writing it down on my calendar and getting excited about a new challenge. I have not worked out this way before. Putting weight days together so i will be interested to see how my body reacts to the change up. Normally it is every other day cardio and every other day weights. I am really curious to see how this changes things up.

Well todays meals that I preprepared were a turkey crockpot lasagna and shredded bbq chicken for wraps next week. The lasagna got a little overdone because we had to leave and do some errands and when I got back it did not look as good as when I left but it still tasted edible so I will freeze it in single portions and have a salad with it when it comes time to eat it. Maybe if I try this again I will not leave the house that way I can keep and eye on it.

Jo-I am glad you got to finally get a good workout it. I just hate it when I can not work out. Last year the electricity was out for 4 days because of a hurricane and there was no working out for me. It was kind of cold and we had to take cold showers and that took all the motivation away from getting good and sweaty and then freezing in a 50 degree house and a cold shower.
But I am sure you would take that 50 now.

Gayle-I can not wait till you post some pics. I missed all the live broadcast and was so disappointed but I hope something will be posted somewhere. Technology now is such a fun thing and makes so many things possible.

I hope all is well with everyone else. I am off to cook some dinner now...Our one meal of the week that is eaten and prepared the same day!

Rachel

Hi Guys,

I had my rest day today and was actually quite busy but it was fun.

Jo, I'm glad you got to work out! Yay!

Gayle, congrats again on eating so well all weekend! You are amazing!

Rachel, sorry about the lasagna, this kind of thing has happened to me before too... but I'm glad you can still eat it!
Yep, tomorrow I'm starting with disk 1, I think. and like you I haven't done three days straight of weights before, so I will be equally interested to see how my body responds to that change. I'm excited to start. I am liking the structure of doing a rotation that someone else made and that other people are doing at the same time! So we should have fun, I think!

Rachel, wish you were a better planner??? Are you kidding me? With the way your prepare in advance, you sound like a pretty good planner to me!! I'll bet that was miserable when you were without electricity! Two years ago, after a huge windstorm (in December) we were without power for 5 days. Fortunately, we have gas, so we were able to still have hot showers, just nothing else! LOL!

Cendrine, hope you enjoyed the rest day! Sounds like you've been very busy this summer! I find after doing STS, I really like the structure of the rotation...but better yet doing it with all of you makes me stick to it even more. In the past, sometimes I would follow a rotation 75 or 80% but decide to do something else. But checking in with everyone here helps me stay focused!

With all that said, I forgot we were starting June rotation tomorrow so I messed up by doing Disc 19 today. So I'll do cardio tomorrow and pick it up with you guys on Tuesday. Next week, though, I'll be going to MT for a week so will be kayaking and hiking instead of doing our rotation, but will pick up with all of you on the days I can! Then I'll be gone the last week of August also. So I'll be a "pop in guest rotationer" for the month of August! LOL! But come September...I'm back on track!

Talk to you all tomorrow!
