50 plus

I would welcome suggestions for an intermediate excerciser who needs to shape the glutes, theighs and legs, yet is 50 plus. Which dvds should I begin with?

Personally I'd start with Cathe's Basic step & Body Fusion DVD. Especially if you have a step, as steping will work what you want to get in shape, plus they have a lower body workout as well. This will allow you to get use to Cathe's style, and if you fall in love with them like everyone else does, you'll have a base as to which DVD you'll want next. Or you could start with Gym Sytle legs, or you can try the pure strenth series and get the legs and abs video. There are a ton of choices, it basically how hard you want to work and if you want to develop muscle in that area and make them nice sculpt with some definition or just make them nice and thin. The workouts that I recommended with sculpt them with shape. Also you can go to the vido Clips link that is right above this forum, just look right under the cathe forum logo and click on video Clips and you can see some of the things that you'll be doing in a lot of her videos. Which usually helps me a lot on deciding which would be best for myself.

Good luck,

Kit

I am now 50+ also.

I can't speak for the above suggestion because I don't own it but anything Cathe puts out is first rate.

Seeing as you are intermediate level, I suggest one of her new workouts, Low Max. It is low impact but really works to sculpt thighs, glutes and hamstrings as well as being a great cardio workout. If you are new to step, you could begin by using a 4 inch step and then work to 6 or 8 inches. I just did Low Max this morning and was sweating buckets by the time I was done :)

For leg muscle endurance, I suggest Legs & Glutes to start. I believe it would qualify as intermediate. L&G has lots of variety and is lots of fun!
