50 & over After Thanksgiving check-in

Lots of over eating yesterday. In the past I would give up and just keep eating because I thought I had blown it. Now I know I won't gain that 5-10 lbs from just eating Thanksgiving and Christmas day. So I will try to be good today. I have had great luck using Cathe nutrition calculator. I put in what I wanted to eat and then keep adjusting until correct calories and mainly A's appear. I signed up for 1month ($9.99). I will probably sign up for year when all the extra downloads are available. I'm sure eating "clean" would be the way to go, but I'm just trying to get in a lot more fruits and veg.
I had planned to do GS chest & triceps today but am headed for the gym right now.

Hi Bev, Jann ,Gypsy Wind and Carol,
Yesterday was the first time at my gym in two years.:eek: I did leg machines and treadmill . Today's wo was GS chest & triceps . I understand delayed pain but I sat down to work on today's nutrition plan right afterwards and by the time I was done I could barely move upper body. I was only using 8lbs to Cathe's 15-25lbs and 5lbs to her 8-10lbs.
I'm still very happy to be back working out. Last week I had only worked out Monday and started diet on Tuesday. This week I have done something 6 days in a row! I won't weigh myself until Tuesday. Hope Thanksgiving and Friday's :eek: eating haven't sabotaged this weeks wt but staying the same would be ok.

Good morning 50’s.

I have been using the nutrition software also. I gave up on all A’s I was driving myself a bit crazy. Now, I just pop a multivitamin and that gets me there. I hope that is not cheating. :confused:

Joan - Congrats on the 6 days in a row!! :cool:

My workout today will be with the treadmill.

Thank heavens this is a rest day. I could barely dress myself, I am so sore. We have had our first snow of the winter today. Only and inch or two, but we have a 4hr rd trip to see mil in nursing home today.
I saw Fitnessfreak's December rotation and thought about doing it, but realized I don't have 4ds. Must have come out after I bought set.
Will do Pure Strength Strong Legs & abs for Monday. I will try her suggestion of 30min cardio after wo and on off days.
Jann- I know what you mean about the nutition calculator. When I used to diet I tried to eat perfectly healthy( or what I thought was healthy without aid of computer) with the calories I allowed. Then I realized I ate horrible before, so just doing the best I could was ok. I'm finding when I add vitamin that I am getting b or c by going over limit.:confused:

I just checked out FitnessFreaks Dec rotation. I really like that one. 4DS and Gym style are my favorite way to workout. I wish I could join you on a rotation!!

One of the best things about the NS is that you are tracking not only the calories but what those calories consist of. I know it has improved my choices.

I’ll start decorating today. I am calling that my workout.

Joan I bet you walk more than you think. I was surprised when I started counting. :)
