Hey!!! Where is everyone? I am back from pilates world and ready to get back to the weights! Meso 2- Are you all on vacation?

No, I am here! :D I think Joan is vacation though. Thanks for getting us started Beth! I loved meso 2 I am going to do it again starting July 26th. I am taking the next 3 weeks of from any rotation due to vacation and other things in the way. Then I will get to meso 3.

I was being very lazy getting to my workout this morning. I just finished a 40 minute jog on the treadmill. A quick bite for lunch then I am on my way outside to do some yard work. I have to get some type of ab work in today -

Have a good one ladies! :)

Hi, Y'All.

I'm here, too. No more vacations for us until Labor Day Weekend. Still doing Burn Phase. I hope I'll be getting into that STS thing in the fall. In the meanwhile, I'm still pushing myself, but now I'm not quite so tired all day after working out as I have been. Last week I started adding a segment of Total Body Stretching every time I do a Burn Circuit workout. I don't get quite as sore and it seems to help. I have Stretch Max, too, and may start using that as well.

Gotta run.

Have a lovely evening!

Morning girls!
Quiet group this week. :) I hope you all are enjoying these summer days!

I am on my week of cardio - today will be LIS. I am sure I'll work up a good sweat! :D

So much for all cardio this week. I did disc 13 couldn't help myself. REALLY needed to lift some weights. Shoulders and triceps feel really, really good!:p

Hello, friends! I am back to the land of the physically active, hallalujah! I was going to do light workout stuff this week, but life happened Sunday - Tuesday. And today I looked back and saw that I didn't get disc 24 in last week! So, that's what I did today. Felt good to pick up a weight again after 4 days off. I understand that feeling Jann. But, now that I've officially finished Meso #2 (YEAYAH!), I'm going to do light stuff the remainder of this week and start Meso #3 on Monday. (Can't believe it!! I'm so excited!) From what I've heard, this is the Meso that the stubborn weight starts to come off - I hope that's right, cause I have a few pounds stubbornly clinging to my midsection that I'd like to part ways with. It'd be great if I can do this before my sister's wedding in October. I'm the MOH, so I'll have to give the speech, be front and center in a spaghetti strap dress, you know the drill.

I'm thinking of doing the LowMax from last week tomorrow - that should fit into the active recovery week prescription, don't you think? Friday will be Stretchmax, Ab Circuits Pilates Abs, and maybe some running Saturday. That's the plan for now, we'll see how it turns out in reality!

Have a good evening - glad to be "back",

High Five Tricia!! I finished meso 2 last week !!
I am taking 3 weeks off from STS (well I did do disc 13 today for fun ;)) due to vacation and other life stuff. So I won't get back to STS until July 27th. Right now I am thinking I will re-do meso 2 because I loved it so much. :p I'll see how the ol'bod is come the end of July... welcome back!

hey ya'll, sorry, been AWOL, but i have one workout left in meso 1, and then my rest week. which i feel like i need, i am so tired today.
and it is still blazing hot down here. 103 right now and it is 7pm.:(

Hello!!

It is funny how you can think you want to take some time off, then you miss the way you feel with the weights. I took the week after meso 1 (second time around) and meso 2 of and did nothing but pilates- It felft so good that I stretched it one more week. Now, after starting meso 2- I know that the best thing is having a plan so that when you get the week off- you appreciate it. I still am having trouble getting the cardio in.

Pilates really helps to stretch out and elongate those tight muscles- especially the legs! Jann. are you really taking 3 weeks off and doing nothing? Sounds decadent!!:D

I am taking 3 weeks off from the STS rotation not from working out. Our vacation was timed so that we should have started it yesterday. This is my week off between meso 2 and 3. But, we had to delay our trip and won't be leaving until next Wednesday. That means I won't be able to start back on the STS rotation until the 27th. sooooooo I am taking 3 week break from STS instead of 1 and half. I hope to get plenty of walking and hit the hotel gyms a bit while on vacation. I always pack my bands. :D

I figured since I am messing up the rotation sneaking one day of weights in would be ok. ;) I just do not enjoy cardio. :( I promise I will do LIS today - :D

I managed to do the original LIS this morning then jumped on the treadmill for 15 minutes... Glad that is done! :D

Hi, Y'All!

I'm glad to hear that everyone is so industrious! I have been really super tired lately. It isn't going to stop me from working out, but it surely does make motivation tough. Today I did an old Firm--Maximum Cardio. It was fun, but I had to use a lower step and modify some parts of it. Tomorrow is Burn Circuit 3. Next week is my last week of Burn Phase, and I am adding Basic Step and Low Max for cardio. Trying to add an afternoon walk as well--good luck with that!

Cathy, while I surely don't envy you the 100+ temps, it doesn't really seem like summer up here at all! Today, the high is in the low 70s and cloudy. It has rained a whole lot, too.

Jann, every time we travel, I plan for some activity, usually the treadmill in the hotel gym, if nothing else. Taking the bands is a terrific idea, I think you've inspired me for some future trip. Be safe and have a great time.

Tricia, you'll look fabulous by that wedding. I hope you'll have a great time, too.

Beth, you're an inspiration!

Everyone, have a great evening!

ya'll need to quit hoggin' all the rain and send some down here.

well, i did disc 12 today, and my back was quite painful during the deadlifts, so, i lightened up on teh 2nd set. i dont' feel like i got a good workout for some reason. i think i may try and do it again this weekend if i have time, since next week is off week.

Rain rain!!!

We are getting rain like I've never seen. The tomatoes are waterlogged!!! I cleaned the house all day so no workout:rolleyes: I am still sore from yesterdays legs. Jann, the bands are a great idea. DH and I are headed to the mountains for a week- we will play alot of tennis but I am thinking I can slip off to the gym with the printed list of meso 2 week 2. I did notice on Cathes rotation, I think for June or July, she rearranged the sts program- so, I guess it can't hurt to manipulate the schedule.

Cathy, enjoy your off week!! Jann have a great vacation, Magnolia, thanks for the kind words. Tricia, meso 3 did it for me! Your arms will look great for the wedding-- have a good evening all!

Beth we had such a wet spring. I think this past week was the first week it didn't rain.
Cathy I really like heat but, man that sounds like crazy heat to me. Deadlifts is an exercise you really need to watch your form. I find if I am not paying attention I feel it in my back quickly.
Magnolia - thanks. Wow done your second round of Burn !!!

Off to the treadmill. :D

Hi Ladies,

I don't seem to be able to log on when it's an off week! On Tuesday or Wednesday I did Cathe's Low Impact Step (the one for beginner/intermediate), Stability ball abs from Body Fusion and a stretchmax. Today DH and I took the kids to Kings Mountain state park. They have a 1 1/2 mile trail that follows the course of the battle, and it was a very good workout! (Had to piggyback the little one up the last hill, and I ran up it with her giggling wildly!) Tomorrow is Meso #3! I'm getting psyched for it, so ready to be in this meso.

Jann, enjoy your time "off"!
Iron-mom, what kind of Pilates do you do? I'd love to discuss that with you, since I want to incorporate more of other types of workouts such as Pilates/Yoga. I don't have much of a library to pick from, so I'd like to hear who's workouts you do.
Magnolia, sounds like you're doing great with Burn - keep up the good work!

Well, I'm going to try to go to bed at a reasonable hour so I'm well rested for tomorrow! Goodnight,
