50 and over week of December 13 check in

Hi Everyone,

I did the FIRM's pump, jump 'n jab this morning. I thought I would burn more calories with this one. Oh well.

Magnolia - So glad to hear that your back feels better. Hope it stays that way.

Joan - Your mother sounds like she is having a tough time with the radiation treatment. This has got to be perplexing for you too. Your poor mil! Not much you can do but hope she's getting the best medical treatment. Hope you have a great Christmas party!

My parents live with my younger sister... my Dad built a "mother-in-law suite" in their basement several years ago when it became obvious that living on a boat was becoming too difficult for Mom with her motor skills deteriorating. She has a very rare form of Parkinson's disease called Multiple Systems Atrophy which affects the Central Nervous System. They also live 1.5 hours (when traffic isn't bad) away from us so we try to see them as much as possible.

It looks like we are going to get a big snow storm starting this evening...I live in Northern VA. I'm really bummed....I have plans to go to a local ballet production of The Nutcracker tomorrow afternoon with a friend I haven't seen since last February. We'll see...sometimes these predictions of snow just fizzle out.

Good afternoon, Y'All!

Linda, thanks, I hope I stay well, too. Pain is almost gone now, I should be able to start doing some exercise tomorrow or Sunday. I have been parking as far away as possible when I run errands and walking as much as I could. That's a trick I rely on about this time of year when I know there's no way I'm going to get in a real workout.

I think we're supposed to get that same storm, just starting tomorrow afternoon. I'd really like it if they were wrong. If I didn't have obligations this weekend, I wouldn't mind too much. They are telling us it could be as much as 6 inches of snow here.

Hope you have a great party, Joan.

Hey! I see they're shipping the Shock Cardio DVDs now! Exciting times are coming!

Have a great evening, everyone!

I got my email notification for Shock Cardio. I'm suppose to receive mine on Monday. We'll see.....not sure if the snow storm will slow delivery. But it is exciting!

Linda you are just down the road from me!! :D I live a bit north/west of Frederick, MD. I just heard 10-20 inches of snow for us...
That could put a dent in our weekend plans.

I got my shipping notice about shock cardio too! Says it will be here Monday.

Good Morning, Ladies!

I won't get an email notification. I had mine shipped USPS, since I was afraid I'd be away when it is delivered. The post office will hold mail & packages for you, but not UPS. Besides, I ordered kinda late, so I'm not expecting mine until sometime next week. It's okay, I don't think I'm going to be in any shape to start them until after the holidays, anyhow. My back is practically well, but I've elected to take it slow and easy.

The clips look great. Glad I pre-ordered.

Well, Jann & Linda, I'll have to wave to you when we're on our way from here to Atlanta after Christmas. :D We're going right through your area! We travel by car for that trip because we're taking Christmas presents, etc.

We're bracing for 6 - 12 inches of snow, between now and tomorrow morning.

Please stay safe and warm, Ladies!

We already have 11 inches of snow and are supposed to get another 10 or so -

I don't remember having a choice for ups or usps

Magnolia -- stop by for a cup of tea!! Let me know I'll stand outside and wave towards the highway! (my neighbors wouldn't know any different of me :p)

Good afternoon,

We already have over a foot of snow and it's still snowing hard. My plans for this afternoon were cancelled...was very disappointed. It's been quite awhile since I've seen it snow like this in Virginia.

I didn't do any workouts today... a rest day... but maybe not for long. We have lots of snow to shovel.

Hi, Y'All.

Well, it started snowing here about an hour ago, and the road in front of the house is white already. It's coming down pretty thick, too. Yesterday, they were telling us that we could expect 6 - 12 inches, but now they are saying 12 - 18 inches. From what I have been seeing, I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, stay safe and warm.

Hi everyone,

No workout today. Will be shoveling more snow later. We got 22 inches. My plans to visit my Mom is cancelled. My sister said that their street is not passable...they live in Dunkirk, MD.

Anyway....it's bright and beautiful outside but I want to snow to go away.

Hi, there!

Well, the weather people say we got 18 inches of snow between last night and this morning. It looks more like 2 feet in our front yard to me. As a dear friend of mine loves to say "It's a winter wonderland!"

Hope you are all safe and warm and anticipating the arrival of Shock Cardio DVDs. TTL.
