50 and over week of August 9 check in

Thank heavens a new week. Maybe I can get back in the swing of things.

Yea I finished STS. :D:D I did disc 35 today. (Yes I know I did 36 before because I don't like to do legs.)

I've decided to get scientific about weight loss. Since I have the GWF armband, I've made a chart to compare calories I eat per day to those I use per day. I always weigh on Mondays so first results will be on Aug 24th.

I have been terrible about calorie counting but that is the only way I ever lose weight.

I will try to get some cardio in later today.

Hello everyone,

Official weigh in Monday - 167lbs. A little higher than I would like to start at but what can you expect. I have kept track of calories for the last two days and am wearing the armband. I will do cardio later because treadmill is too far away from Elliot's nap area and I can't hear her wake up.

Also a short check in. Am in the middle of another paper for my course. This one's got me pulling out hair, almost!! :eek: Anyway, took today to work on it, so I didn't work out. Tomorrow's another day, though.

Magnolia, I know what grade you got on last paper so I know this one will be fine. Try to get a little wo in just for stress relief.

Cathy, Fortunately my company was last week and I'm just the opposite. I can finally wo now they are gone.

I got 2 hours of moderate activity (walking) as cardio and reached 2350 calories used for the 24 hours. This is about 350 more than the day I did 3 discs. Of course I also had Elliot all day and that was a lot of running around.

Hi everybody, sorry to go MIA! I didn't get to do my final STS workout until today, but I have done it! Yeayah! Just amazed that I stuck with a rotation for 3 1/2 months!

Haven't been able to read up on how everyone is doing, I really popped on here to tell you I'm basically off to PA on Thursday. So tomorrow is packing, getting my oldest off to her first day of FIRST GRADE! I will probably see you all again on here Sunday, hopefully will have some pics, too.

whew!, well, this has not been a very restful week. my last guest left about an hour ago. i am soooooo tired. i have not had time or energy to do any workouts this week, so i'm glad it is my week off. i really hope i feel more energetic on monday to start meso 3.

Hi, Y'all!

Thanks, Joan, for the supportive words. I did work out today, Push Circuit 2. I find it takes me a long time to write these papers because I have to take a break every so often. Working out is a really good break, it recharges me. Anyway, guess I will not skip any more this week unless I get on such a roll, that I have to keep going.

Cathy, I'm on my way to vegging out, too. Wow, am I tired!

Good evening all,

I did 2hrs and 10 min on treadmill Tuesday. That was 14089 steps for the day and if I remember 2150 calories for the 24 hours.

Wednesday I had 2 hours and 10 min and used 2062 calories for the day.

I don't get hungrier when lifting, I guess because I don't use that many calories. I am alot hungrier with this cardio. I hope it means it's working.

Tricia I hope 1st day of 1st grade went well- for you and your daughter.

I think we're supposed to have rain again tomorrow. I would like to get out with Elliot and get some walking in. It seems like I'm always finishing at midnight otherwise.

well, another unrestful day. LOL! man, and tomorrow is gonna be super busy. i guess i'm gonna have to rest on sunday to be ready for m3. i'm almost afraid to start m3, i just ddon't feel ready for it this time around. not sure why. i think the heat has just done me in this summer. i will not do STS in the summer again. ya'll have a great weekend, will probably not be back til sunday evening.

Hi ladies,

Thursday wo was 1 hr and 5 min on treadmill with total calories used for day 2043. I still would like to get to 2300-2400 calories used per day. This first week I am going to go by calories used. In the future I may look at # of steps or hours of activity.

I think today will be rest day. My ankles are a little sore.

Hi, Y'all.

Almost finished with paper. :D I was on a roll Friday, so I just kept working. Only the conclusion and some minor revisions, and I think it's good to go.

Anxious to start STS, but I'd really like to get the larger step (I only have the small circuit one), and the slanted risers before I begin. I saw that Power Tower thing, but I don't think I have room for it here. If it folded up and fit in a closet, maybe.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It looks like Hurricane Bill is going to skirt around us, thankfully. After it passes by, the weather is supposed to be much nicer, low 80s and less humid. :cool:
