50 and over week of Aug 30 check in

It would be easier to plan a start date for STS if we new more about the cardio part...
That's a good idea having our rest week over Thanksgiving. Gosh done before Christmas :eek:
 
well, hi ladies, i really am still alive. LOL! been busy, and computer issues. i have been doing my workouts. but, last nite, i went riding, and my horse was gettin' a drink out of the tank and almost fell in! he lost his footing and we almost took a swim. he caught himself , but i jerked my arm bad holding on, and aggravated my tennis elbow really bad. so, disc 30 today was mainly done w/my left arm. major drag!!! and, this is the super heavy week. i am so bummed! and, i think i'm kinda burned out on STS. i'm sooooo tired. it is really hard to get thru these workouts. so, if i can get thru the next 2 weeks, i'm done for the year w/STS. i really have been having a hard time keeping my focus. anyway, i did 4ds kickbox yesterday w/the abs and 3 sets of tall box climb. well, gotta go for now. so, ttyl.
 
jann, can you tell me how to change my user name? i went into the usercp thing and could only find how to change my password and everything else, but not my user name. well, i'm gonna be at my son's tomorrow, so he can help me, too.
thanks, i still haven't done my avatar thingie. might do that also.
 
and, why is it called an avatar?? took me forever to figure out what that was. also, can't figure out how to update my ticker.

How to Create Your Custom Avatar
To create your own avatar for use on the forums, we recommend the following process:
1. Find a photo that has an “uncluttered” or plain background. When the image is reduced in size, it will allow “you” to be the focus of attention and not a busy background.
2. Go to a site that sizes and crops your image to an 80 pixel by 80 pixel square. We recommend http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ The interface for this site is clear and simple and you get your desired result easily. Just make sure that you type in “80” where it asks you to “Set the Avatar Size”. This is the maximum size our forum software will accept.
3. After you have chosen the cropping that you like, save the image to your computer where you can easily find it again, such as your desktop.
4. Log in to the Cathe Forums if you haven’t already done so, and click on “User CP” in the light blue menu bar a few inches from the top of the page (it is the first link on the menu bar).
5. Scroll down and in the “Your Control Panel” list on the left side of the page, under “Settings & Options” choose “Edit Avatar.”
6. When the control panel loads, check “Use Custom Avatar” in the “Custom Avatar” box. Go down to “Option 2” and click the “Choose File” button, select your avatar that you created above, then click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the control panel.
7. You now should have the maximum size custom avatar possible for use in the forums. You can check it by looking at a post you have already made, or creating a new post in our forums.

Cathy the only way I know is to contact CatheNation and request a change. I don't remember seeing any other way.
 
howdy all, well i started my week today w/ disc32, plyo legs. this week is gonna be really hard. wk. 3 meso 3. 90% of 1rm. i am already scared. the weights look pretty daunting to me. hope i can do it. i really want to lose a few lbs. after STS. can't seem to keep my cardio up enough while i'm doin it. so, gonna try and find a rotaiton that will help me get some of this around my middle off. been looking thru cathe's. any suggestions? well, we are watching an old movie on TCM, so gonna go for now.
