50 and Over: * Wednesday*

Good Morning and welcome to mid week Wednesday!

I tried the Kathy Smith Power Walk workout today, and basically was not impressed.. 37 minutes, and 216 calories.. not really enough for me. I may add on the Core only section at the end to another workout, but the "walking" and other cardio, for me anyway did not even have a fun factor. I think if I did this often, all that "whooping and hollering" would drive me nuts.. oh well, you try some you like some!:)

Jen: Thanks for the kind thoughts on the sleep deprivation.. I went to bed at 8:30, exhausted, but could not fall asleep until around 10:30, then woke up at 3:40, back to sleep until the alarm at 4:40.. Hopefully this will stop by the weekend. Good thing you had that book and was able to figured out what was causing all those things to be happening to you! That is scary! You could probably have hundreds of tests and no one in the medical field would have come to the conclusion you did! You can wean yourself off of sugar in coffee in about a week. I did this years ago and now could not even have 1/8 of a teaspoon, yuk! I can also drink it black or with milk, I like it either way.

Rhonda: Glad to hear your mamogram came out well and HIGH FIVE to you on the weight loss:)

Cathy: My feet don't hurt when I do the actual excercise, but they really hurt when I first get up in the morning.. I can hardly go down the stairs, but by the time I get to the basement, they are ok.. weird! I agree you should see a podiatrist that is into athletics so they can see things from a different perspective.

Have a great day!:)

Happy Wednesday, All,

Today is my day off from work, but I'm leaving in a while to go to the dentist for the bi-yearly cleaning. Not my idea of a fun day off!

Deb, you give me hope that I'll be able to wean myself off sugar in my coffee. I guess that's my next project.

Rhonda, very interesting comments. I'm already beginning to notice that I crave sweets less often.

Cathy, could be the exercise shoes, could be you need to modify the high impact, could be a foot problem. I agree with other posters, see a podiatrist first.

Today, I plan to do Gym Style Legs.

Have a wonderful day,
Jen

Trust in the LORD with all your heart.

jen, i am on my 3rd pair of shoes in 4 months. i know it is probably the hi-impact, but it is so fun, i hate to cut it out. except all the jumping, that gets really hard. and there is alot of jumping on IMAX3. but, again i say, it is so much fun!!! how does cathe do it? how does she keep making these hard workouts?
guess i need to go to the dr.
