Good Morning:

Well I am back and glad to be home. The weather was nice in DC but very hot. DH and I went to the Holocaust museum on Sunday ;( , and he did a lot of touring around while I was working. We stayed at the Ritz in Pentagon City. It is attached to a wonderful mall ( and I am not a shopper) that has a lot of stores that we don't have here. 4 floors!

Today was ME upper body. I have been doing treadmill workouts all week so it felt strange picking up a weight.

Garence: they had a Clark's store in the mall! It was nice seeing all the shoes I looked at on Zappos site. I tried some on but did not buy anything.

Linny: thanks for starting the thread each day! I will starting posting meals again tomorrow. I read about your candy corn! I too am worried about Halloween, since candy/chocolate is my weakness.

Josie: I will remember your friend in my prayers. I hope she is well enough for her daughter's wedding

Jen: how are you doing?

Have a great day!
Deb

Good Morning Deb and those to follow:
Deb: Glad you had a safe trip. I didn't know they had a Holocaust museam in DC, that must have been very interesting. I would have gone crazy at the mall.I'm a shopoholic}( .
Busy day today I'll check in later.Waving HI! to Garance,Josie and Jen.~Linny~

Hi Deb, Linny et al--

I did the double upper body premix on Push/Pull.

So glad to have you back, Deb! Linny did a great job in your absence.

I have been to the Holocaust museum in DC. It is extremely moving, even overwhelming. I wish someone had dragged that slimy, grinning idiot from Iran there--as a substitute for what he wanted to do--visit the 911 site in NYC.

I am a shopaholic, too, Linny, and I feel so deprived in my little town. One pathetic little mall.

Josie, have you seen Apocalypse Now Redux? It includes a very long sequence titled the French Plantation. A family that never left when Indochine became Viet Nam. Several other scenes that were dropped in the theatrical version are included. My students really loved this film. Next week it's Bertolucci's The Last Emperor. Then they get a week off to do research on their chosen director. I will be in Oxford, England for a big conference on Sylvia Plath to give a lecture.

Have a good Thursday, ladies!

Hi Ladies,

I will try to run this evening. My Dad and one of my (7) brothers will be comming over to my house and they always want to go to dinner.

Garance, I will check it out. Do you ever come to LA? If you are ever in LA, I would love to meet you for lunch or dinner or maybe a workout at the famous Gold's Gym in Venice.

Deb, I'm glad that you are back!

Linny, Stay away from that candy corn!

Josie
