Good Morning to all!

What a beautiful day here! 53 degrees and no humidity! I know it will get warmer as the day goes on but at least the humidity is lower. Did KPC first 2 combos and SH Biceps and Abs today. I finally hit the 5 pound loss! Yeah! 25 to go...

Linny: I hear you on the pre-mixes. that is about all I do now. What do you use for the weight part? are you doing one body part per day? Glad you mentioned the book thing! I do the same thing LOL.. buy them and put them on a shelf..

Rhonda: It's almost like you are not off work at all! L&G Supreme? good for you! You are doing so well with the WW too!

Jen: It sounds like your surgery was much more complicated than mine. I had micro-surgery, in and out the same day for a herniated disk. I have to be careful now with things like deadlifts ( which is what caused it in the first place) The last thing the surgeon said to me at my follow up was "keep the weight off" and I proceeded to gain 20 pounds..

Cathy: smart of you to take it easy and wait for your back to be better before straining it with weights.. I have Denise Austin pilates, Windsor ( which I don;t like at all) and a whole bunch of others that I have not ever tried! p.s I am in Buffalo NY..

Enjoy the day!

Hi Deb and later posters--

I'm back. Spent all of yesterday over at Smith College, looking at manuscripts and other archival material in the air-conditioned rare book room. The weather was heinous yesterday. Talk about bad hair days! Mine just frizzled up the moment I went out to the car to go over the mountain to Northampton. Much better today, isn't it Deb, in the northeast.

Yes, the Kathy S. walk to lose weight is a DVD I found at Collage. Let me tell you, it is a lot more fun than Leslie Sansone, the Carmela Soprano of fitness DVDs with that nasally voice and must-be NJ accent according to my husband. He absolutely insisted when I was using her 5 mile walk DVD that I TURN HER OFF! I was more than willing to do so. I felt so embarrassed for her daughter in that DVD. I like the Smith DVD because the moves are more varied and even a little dancy, and she uses a young crew and interesting backgrounds. If you are looking for an easier workout, but still want to break a sweat, I recommend it.

Didn't do any exercise yesterday. Today I did the all step combos premix on Low Max.

My bone density came back okay, but okay for someone post-menopausal. But no medication recommended--just calcium and vitamin D and weight work.

Love all the pics at the blog. I think I'm going to like this series.

Have a lovely Thursday everyone!

Happy Thursday, All,

There was a grandchild sighting yesterday, 2 in fact, so I'll try again today for the Firm and Tamilee Stretch tapes.

Cathy, I told you about my location in Texas in yesterday's post, or was it the day before? Don't want to bore everyone else again with my Texas ramblings!

Deb, I laughed out loud when you said you immediately gained 20 pounds - sounds like something I'd do.

My trigger thumb has come back with a vengeance. I'm pretty sure it's a result of the fall I took 3 weeks ago. The trick will be to get the doctor to give me one more cortisone shot before we resort to surgery. He said no more than one injection is indicated in the thumb, but from everything I've read, I can have 3 before there is a possibility of collagen deterioration. My appointment is next week, and I'm pretty much set on having a second shot. We'll see who is more strong-willed!

Have a wonderful day,
Jen
