4DS KB & BC cardio--YOWZA!

Sorry for all the acronyms, I just couldn't figure out how to fit it all in the subject line. :)

So, I did the new KB & BC cardio this morning. I won't break it down by moves but I'll give you my thoughts.

The KB was a bit shorter than the BC. Took me about 40 minutes to get through both minus warmup & cooldown. Both were very intense & had me sweating & gasping for air! There was no continuation of the warmup w/the first combos as she's done w/other workouts, the high intensity starts immediately after the warmup & stays high througout.

Both were pretty basic, linear & easy to follow. The KB was fun but I absolutely LOVED the BC! Very unique & athletic, unlike any home cardio DVD I've ever done. I'm always so happy to find some new & different cardio!

Bottom line, I'm very pleased w/the new workouts, & you know how picky I am. :p You guys let me know what you think......

WOW, Laura! I'm so glad to hear you liked those! I got mine on Tuesday but have been so sick lately and haven't been able to do them. I'm feeling better today so hopefully I can jump in.

And, yes, we all know how picky you are, so I'm THRILLED you like them! I can't wait to try them now. Thanks for the review!

I've got mine and I previewed High Step last night and I can't wait to try it today. Does BC take up alot of room? I have a small space that I exercise in.

I did the bootcamp one, including weights, this a.m. The cardio rocks! Very intense and fun... lots of anerobic moments for me. The only one I "fudged" was the last drill, replacing the push-ups with bunny hops, as my shoulder joints can't take going from upright to push-ups on the floor that fast (not in my 20s anymore, folks). Thought I would pass out from the "suicide" drill, too. As far as the weight section, some new and interesting moves... like twisting the dumbell at the end of a bicep curl, so you really feel it at its peak. Also like the hanging concentration curl. Ending the rounds with the band is genious!

Can't wait to try the KB.

That last drill was a killer! I almost bailed on it, but I heard Cathe's voice saying "you can do it!" Still not sure if I heard it from the TV or just inside my head. :+

Ellen--yes, the BC portion takes up a lot of room. Probably more than any other of Cathe's cardio. You know the rebounding drill from Drill Max? There are about 5 similar drills in BC.

I think you could probably modify. When you jump distances you can probably just jump in place. If I recall (it was about 6:30 am so at this point it's a distant memory :p ) Cathe does offer options for modifications in a smaller space. Be sure to preview it first so you know what you'll have to do in advance.

That BC cardio is the one that appeals to me the most. I love Drill Max and it looks like more of the same.

I'll be ordering in the next week and hope to have them in time for a November rotation!

Thanks for the review :)
