45 minute weight workouts

I am 43 and have been using your Pure strength, Slow and Heavy and Boot Camp tapes for my workouts. I also run 4 to 4.5 miles on my lunch breaks at work. The problem is since I have become a Mom I have to get up at 4AM to go into the garage and work out. It gets hard to do a full hour at 4AM, then get ready for work, take the baby to the baby sitter, run at lunch, go get the baby and then go home. Your pure Stength has 2 45 minute upper body segments. Do you have any lower body segments that are 45 minutes? Or can you create an intense series of weight training without the cardio (my knees are starting to hurt now) for those of us older and time pressured folks.

Thank you
Patricia Bonaparte:) :)

Hi Patricia,

I think you're addressing your post to Cathe directly, and I just wanted to let you know that she only answers questions on the Ask Cathe forum. The rest of the forums are for us avid fans to chat about all things Cathe, and other stuff. There are alot of "educated members" who can give you great workout advice. You can repost your question on any of the other forums and get some great suggestions (the video discussion forum would probably be best).

FWIW, Cathe does have some great lower body workouts that are under 45 minutes:

Leaner Legs (ouch!!) (33mins)
Muscle Endurance lower body premix (about 30 mins)
Pyramid Lower Body (about 30 mins without the stability ball work)
Legs & Glutes contains a number of shorter premixes
Maximum Intensity Strength, lower body segment (20 mins, and most similar to PS).
Body Max has a terrific 30 minute cardio circuit/leg weight section
Gym Style Legs has shorter, Timesaver, premixes, I think (haven't done this one yet)

You are a very dedicated exerciser to get up at 4am to workout! Many of us know how hard it is to juggle work/family/fitness. You sound like you've got a great routine going!

All the best,
Sandra
