Getting us started for the week. I did KBWay 2 today, I really like this one. I'm also going to start FitnessFreaks rotation on Wed and checkin with her group. Hopefully I can keep up with 2 checkins.

Murphy, ya you on not overeating!!!!! I did pretty well too, I guess I could have been better in the sweets dept. but at least I only had 1 little piece of cake or pie even if it was for 3 days. Time to buckle down!

Hello Lisa and everyone else!

I managed to fit in 4DS LIS at the weekend so completed all 4 in 5 days which is the most I've done in a month! The builders are back again now so there won't be much exercise for me in the next few weeks. I probably shouldn't have had two cheese rolls and a chocolate for my lunch - but what the heck!

Lisa - that FF rotation looks fabulous. I'm saving it for next year when I'm back to working out properly and can follow a rotation.

Hope all have a good day!

Hi everyone, a quick post. Today I did iTread 9 - 60 min....I was on track for one of my best runs when 40 min into it my circuit breaker tripped stopping the treadmill, right in the middle of the fastest sprint! I was going at a 7.6mph pace when I almost crashed into the front of the treadmill when it stopped dead. Luckily DH was around to rest the circuit breaker and I completed the workout, but now I don't know if I broke my record or not.....smart aleck DH said, well, why don't you just start over again.

Hope you all got a good laugh! I really can't beleive I didn't hurt myself. :p

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. Did a little shopping, I really need to get out there! We also saw Bolt, cute, not as good as Madagascar, tho. Lisa, I would love to follow FF rotation, but we are going to Vegas next week (darn it!), good luck with it. Thank God you didn't hurt yourself, I imagined you falling either off the back or face first. Ronne , how is the construction going? How long will they be there? Today was MIS, quick and fun. Now I am off to shop. Have a good day. Mary

Hey All,

I am breaking up the 4DS into 6 parts (I don't do the LIS or HIS aerobic parts, I am footwork-challenged). So, I am doing the LIS and HIS weight sections today and tomorrow. I don't know what I did to my knee (other than get old) but it popped yesterday and has been aching since. I am trying to work through it and hoping it is just the arthritis acting up since I have not been working out like I should. When I do what I am supposed to do I am usually okay. Unless of course we are in for some weather. I am not sure what to root for.

Anyway, talk to you all soon.

Murph

Hello All!

Well the new month is here and I hope to have a somewhat normal week.

I ended up having to take a rest week last week so I started my new workout week on Friday...

Friday was KBWay2 I've only done it once and its okay - not so many swings in it but I plan on doing it again tomorrow
Saturday I did the CCPP day w/ add on challenge - thats was a great run
Sunday was Lauren Brook's kettlebell dvd :p
Today I ended up doing iTread 7/40 a nice solid run

As far as my eating ugh too many trigger foods around for me and well I indulged a bit. Oh well it was all good stuff though :p

Lisa seems like lots of folks are doing FF's dec. rotation - since I'm just not ready to start a formal rotation I ended up printing hers and Cathe's for future reference. Perhaps next month ;)

Omgosh thank goodness you were not hurt when your treadmill stopped on you - your dh's should try one of Grace's runs and then let him be the smart aleck lol

Ronne Great for you to get those workouts in even with the remodeling.

Mary wow Vegas have tons of fun when you go next week. I only been there once when I lived in Az back in the late 80's as a newly wed we had so much fun and the food so cheap from what I can remember.

I thought I was done with the Christmas shopping but my older kids gave me curveballs - now one wants a digital camera and the other wants a webcam for the laptop she bought.

Murph so sorry you hurt your knee; please just be careful with it . I hope you get it feeling back to normal soon.

Ladies have a great evening I must get off now if I want to feed my family dinner lol

Hi everyone! It's my rest day so no workout for me, yea!

Vilma, I'm really liking the KBway 2. I did the whole workout (I'm trying to sub a dumbbell close to equal in weight for the double KB moves). I tried to add on the Manmaker after the original workout and my body had nothing left in it. Not even for the swings. When I switch to my 18lb kb for some moves that I know I can't do any heavier it feels sooooo light compared to the 26lb kb.

Ronne, When is your construction project going to be completed? Since you have this group/checkin, I'm sure when the time comes you'll be ready to workout and be accountable. Enjoy your time off from working out in the meantime!

Mary, do you have anything special planned to do in Vegas? where are you staying? I've only been there twice. One time we flew and one time we drove there, what a long drive from Denver!

Murphy, good on you! Did you get weather? Just this past week winter has finally started hitting here. In fact on Sunday after Thanksgiving the mountains and north into Wyoming had bad wind and blowing snow. No one was prepared, glad I was at home!

Gotta run...toodles!

Hi all

Don't know where the time's going at the moment! Can't seem to find a moment.

Lisa - I was  when I read your treadmill incident! At least only your dignity was hurt! I keep following the FF rotation log in. I'm so jealous!!!

Mary - have a fab time in Vegas. I suppose it'll be warm there? Excuse my ignorance! What I would do to be warm!

Murph - be careful. Don't push too hard through injury.

Vilma - good to see you. Sounds like you're as busy as ever!

The building work will go on till the end of Feb. I might join a gym in the new year as once they start work inside the house I probably won't be able to work out at all even when they're not here. At the moment, they're still outside so it's not too bad. Our space is getting smaller each day though as we have to clear more rooms!

I have to say, despite the lack of regular workouts, I'm feeling good. I'm doing enough so I don't get that crappy feeling, you know what I mean?

Hi to anyone lurking as well - Kathryn, Andrea? Hope everything is OK.

Hi girls! Was running around yesterday, didn't get time to post. Yesterday BM, fun again, Today will be GSBSB. Ronne, Feb.? Wow, you are going to be invaded for a while! I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. Are gym memberships expensive? I have always been afraid to work out in front of others! I sound like a nut, don't I? Lisa, good job on those KB's, I have been eyeing them up, just the investment, I just ordered 2 more dvd's, I need to stop! Especially with STS coming. Vilma, some good workouts there! Murphy, hope that you are feeling better. I don't like those aching body parts! I hope it will be warmer in Vegas, last I l ooked it was in the 60's, which is way warmer than here! Have a good day all. Mary Hi to Andre, Kathryn and anyone else I left out!

Hellos! I've finally started FF Dec rotation. Man, what a killer when repeating the rounds in 4DS twice! I can really feel it! I hope this rotation helps build some more muscle so that maybe I can get rid of the last 5 lbs which seems to be all on my abdomen.

Gotta run for now....

I'm back! Sort of ...

Hi, I've missed you all! I'm finally getting over the pneumonia, but it's been a long, slow recovery.

I started working out last weekend, but had to do Cathe's beginner workouts. I've owned these for years and years but have never done them because they were way too easy for me ... until now.

Unforunately, taking time off for being sick is worse than just goofing off for a few weeks. I've lost strength, stamina, and endurance. I've also lost weight, but it was all hard-earned muscle and probably not an ounce of fat.

So I'm taking it easy (which is really unnatural for me) and doing what I can. It's better than doing nothing. Meanwhile, my beautiful kettlebells are sitting alone and dust-covered in the corner. I'll use them some day -- I promise! And in the meantime, they look very pretty and colorful.

I hope that everybody is feeling well and had a great Thanksgiving!

Hi all! Hope you are having a good day. Kathryn, it is so good to see you back! I'm sorry you have been ill all this time. Don't push yourself too hard, you don't want to have a setback. I bet that it won't take you long to get back to where you were, you'll be using those KB's before you know it. Lisa, I lurk on FF's rotation, you are really lifting some heavy weights! I am duly impressed! Hopefully I'll get my w/o in later, right now I am doing Christmas decorations, such a big job. I was walking by the computer and here I am! I do need to get busy, the house is in chaos right now, just from me, so there is no one else to blame! Have a good day and HI to all that follow. Mary

Hi ladies! I did Step Blast today, gotta love that one. I also did shovelMAX...we got 5" last night, the driveway was icy and I had fun sliding down as I shoveled, praying I wouldn't land on my arse!

Mary, aw, shucks , you made my day about my heavy weights. I've always thought I was a wimp, well, I am a wimp on chest and shoulders, I know that. It's nice seeing everyone's weights they use.

Katherine, good to see you here and on the OD! Where did you find out about greens first?

Now off to warm up with some SF hot cocoa! brrrrrrr

Hi everyone

Just a quick run-in here. Kathryn, good to see you back. And like the others said, take it easy! Glad you're managing to get some light workouts in. Take your time and you'll be back to where you were before you know it!

I might be fitting in some yoga later which would be the first workout for me since Sunday! Have to see how it goes.

It's getting extra busy here now. The company we ordered our kitchen from has gone into administration so we've got to start all over again and find a new one. What a pain!

Please excuse lack of personals! Hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you're up to.

hey everyone! just a quick checkin. I did the legs of FF rotation. This rotation is inspiring me to increase the weights and then when I do, I realize that it was just a mental block keeping me from increasing the weights faster than I was.

Ronne, what a pain on your kitchen fiasco! Look at it this way, you may find something you like better or at a better price.

Mary, have fun in vegas!

Kathryn, hope you are still on the road to recovery.

Vilma, Andrea, Murphy, where are you, busy with the holiday preparations?

Rhonadlyn, are you out there, if so, when are you going to join us again?

Have a great weekend!

Thanks!

Lisa, Mary, Ronne, Murphy, Vilma, and all others that I may have missed (sorry), it's good to be back! I'm pretty far from 100% but I'm on my way -- finally. I did Supersets today (at much lower weights than I normally use), but I had a bit more endurance and didn't get winded as much.

Vilma, do you like KBWay 2 as much as KBWay 1? I received it but haven't done it because the spirit is willing but my lungs (and muscles) are weak! And because of the potential for injury with KBs, I think I need to wait until I am sure I won't drop it on my foot, hit myself in the head, etc. Of all the KB workouts you own, which is your fave?

Lisa, You're doing FF's rotation? I saved a bunch of her rotations to my computer. These days I'm doing the equivalent of "Richard Simmons for Beginner Grannies," so you're way out of my league. Oh, I'll PM you about the Greens First. Probably too long and boring to post here.

Ronne, I'm not sure what "administration" is, but it sounds bad! Sorry about the kitchen. That's a tough thing to be without (so my mother tells me). Isn't it time to check into Ritz and get room service?

Mary, Vegas? You can let what happens in Vegas stay there, but make sure you tell us all the salacious details! I've never been, but it sounds like an exciting trip! Oh, and you liked Madagascar better than Bolt? I'll have to tell my DH because he took DS to see Bolt and they both loved it. Maybe I can convince them to spend another afternoon at the movies to see Madagascar (without me -- hooray! Free time!). Maybe they'll even take DD, and then it will be more free time than I know what to do with! Maybe I'll organize the spice rack! (Nah.)

Murphy, so sorry about your knee! Please give it enough rest before you try to work out again! Last year I was doing Cardio Fusion when I felt an odd cramp in my calf. Naturally, I ignored it and kept going. Then I heard a loud "snap," felt extreme pain, and only then did I stop. I had a torn calf muscle and spent weeks in an ace bandage, unable to do much of anything.

Well, I need to get the kids to bed, so I'll sign off. Thanks to you all for the good wishes! Have a great weekend!
