I am feeling really sad. For the longest I have been wanting to lose weight and exercise more. I am finding, however, that with me being out of shape and having some women issues (without giving too much info, been going on for close to a year....really getting worse the past four months or more). Anyhow, I always have these great intentions to workout, but my body is just exhausted. I used to think it was just because I was out of shape (which I do think being overweight and out of shape IS contributing to my energy levels) but I literally ACHE from everything (my womanly problems), and stay exhausted (from losing excessive blood and headaches). I have pushed myself to workout, but that does not do me any good. It is not like I get going and get that burst of energy......seems to do me worse. Has this ever happened to anybody else out there? If so, how did you overcome this? I have a consultation appointment with my dr. on Tuesday, so I am going to mention this to her then also.

TIA for any stories you might have that relates similarly to mine.

70 minutes. Hoow¡.Thank you Cathe.I would like to know something about the premixes too.

I can't relate but it sounds like you may be anemic. Have you had your iron levels checked? If you are losing a lot of blood then chances are your iron is low...try increasing your iron intake and see how you feel.

Make sure you tell your doctor every symptom that you've had, even if they seem insignificant - write them down if there are many.

Good luck, I hope you're feeling better soon :)

i am not sure what you problems involve, but you are not alone. i suffered from horrible endometriosis for several years and have had a number of surgeries to rectify the situation. It is frustrating to have the desire to get in shape and feel better about yourself and be inhibited by your own body. Hopefully, your doctor will have some suggestions about what to do. For now just do what you are capable of.

Pollictc excuse me I have posted here a mistake message. I want to posted in the messages under. I have rode your post. I am sorry. You seem very depresed. When I feel this way I try to be positive.I think about all the wonderful things that I have: a safe job, my parents and my loved cat stay with me,I have discovered Cathe and all the awesome persons in these forums, I have preorder the 11 dvd of hardcore, I am injured but I am better than yesterday etc.

Hi Polly,
Most definately talk with your doctor about everything you described here. Your low blood levels could make you very tired. Even if your levels are not that low, other factors could make you tired; low on B complex vitamins for one thing. Recently I had extreme tiredness that I slept for 7 days! My husband helped me to get to the doctor and I had to have B12 shots and an arsenal of vitamins. I am still on high doses of vitamin B complex.
I would not be trying to exert myself at this point if I were you. There is a reason for your tiredness; work with your doctor in finding the answer.
Keep us posted as to how you are getting along. I'm rooting for you. Do not beat yourself up for lack of exercising. One issue at a time. The workouts will be there waiting for you; just hit the pause button. :)

Dr Robert Schulyer (I'm sure I blew the spelling)( he's the Tv minister from the Crystal Cathedral, the Hour of Power) wrote a number of books about dealing with depression.

He preaches "power of positive thinking". He acknowledged that sometimes you can get into a rut and can't lift yourself out. At that point he said to look outside of you, find someone else that's having it worse and be thankful that you don't have it that bad. At first I thought this was a terrible thing celebrating another's miseries, but I realized it's not. You're not making their lot any worse.

The next step was to find someone else who had it worse than you do and overcame it and ride on their coattails.

My own formula is to try to forget my problems by helping someone else with thiers.

It's worked for me.

I agree that postive thinking can do many wonders. Yet, if a person is bleeding to death, one needs seek out medical help to address the reason why. Then one can apply the power of positive thinking and work with a program to heal mind and body. All the positive thinking in the world cannot help all situations. ;-)

I agree about the medical consultation. I misunderstood trying to "shake the blues" vs possible clinical depression.

If someone thinks they're suffering from depression they should see his/her primary care physician as there could be an organic or neurological reason.

The Christmas season is a rough season for depression so please don't ignore it.

Hi all and thank you for your replies. Actually, I have endometriosis, and on top of that I have fibroids. I have a consultation with my dr. on Tuesday to go over a few options. I know all the bleeding is just draining me, and the suggestion of iron is a great idea. I was just telling my mother a few weeks ago that I'm sure that is why I stay drained all the time. It really is not depression.......but just draining from being drained all the time!!! x( Wanda, I'm on my way off to read your pm!! Thanks again all.

I can relate. I don't have female problems but I do have a spine problem and it has significantly changed my workouts. I have had several bouts of the blues this year due to being constantly annoyed with my back problem.

I hope your doctor can help you. I have a friend who had the same type problem you're having and her doctor fixed her right up! She is feeling great again and running several miles per day. Hope you feel better soon.

I had a friend who suffered with fibroids for years. She had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago and is feeling sooooo much better. I'm not saying that's what you need to do, but, maybe there's a less invasive way of getting rid of the fibroids now.
She was very, very anemic but nothing she took really helped because she kept losing blood. I am so sorry you're suffering with this but just hang in there. Possibly your doctor will have some good suggestions for you!
