1RM done and not showing up on WorkOut card

I did all of my 1RM for Workout 6 and saved them. 8 did not show up on my workout card. I even powered down and tried again. Nothing. What am I doing wrong? I had no problem for the first 5 cards. Is there someone I can talk to live to figure this out. Also, are exercises 519 and 407 the same. I tested and saved both. These are 2 of the 8 that did not show up.

There are only 13 exercises on disc #6 that you should test for. If you go to the 1RM calculator and select STS and then "disc #6" you will see the 13 exercises you need to test for. I checked and everything seems to be working just fine at first glance. It sounds to me you're looking at the workout card and testing all of the exercises you see on the card. You don't want to do this as many exercises really can't be accurately tested doing a 1RM test. If this is not what you're doing them I would need the exercise number and name for each exercise that is not showing for you.

The workout card for Disc #6 shows 15 exercises need a 1RM. The drop down menu lists only 13.
Wall Squats Double Leg (body weight) and Front Squats Narrow Stance (dumbbell) appear to need a one rep max test on the workout card, but do not appear on the drop down list.
Although the workout card for Wall Squats Double Leg says body weight, dumbbells are used in the video. The workout card clearly states to work at 65% of one rep max for both of these exercises.

Are 519 Squats Narrow Stance (dumbbell, standing) and 407 (Front squats narrow stance) the same exercise? If so, wouldn't it be easier if it had the same number and 1RM tester for disc 6 allowed you to test for both.

Also, I was having trouble with the 1RM calculator. When I would take a test from the drop down menu for disc 6 and click Calculate and Save, it would appear as done on the ONE REP MAX RESULTS SCREEN ON THE RIGHT. Then when I would go back to test on another exercise from the drop down menu, the exercise I just completed would disappear.
I would have to click off the screen completely, then go back and retest. Finally after several attempts the exercise "took". One leg sit and stands and Alternating 45 degree front lunge were especially stubborn and took several attempts before it permanently appeared as being completed.

We all paid a lot of money for this program, when a customer brings errors to your attention, can you fix them. It's frustrating and confusing.

The Workout Manager is a program that we provide to you at no cost. This is not something you pay for or that is included in your purchase of STS. As bugs are reported we fix them as quickly as we can, but software engineering is not something that can be done quickly or easily. This is why you don't see other companies doing what we do.

Wall Squats are not an exercise you test for as they're primarily a body weight exercise. This is why you don't see this exercise listed in the 1RM calculator.

Front Squats are really just dumbbell squats. This is why you don't see them listed in the 1RM calculator. We are aware of this problem and will fix when time permits.

As for your 1RM results not showing... this is an error we have not been able to duplicate. It could be an error caused by an internet connectivity issue or login problem...or some other reason like our programmers were working on the database at the time you tried to save your results. We have had a few people report the same problem, but until we can duplicate and see the same issue we can't fix it or even know if it truly is a bug.

Thank you for your reply.

Even though you say the Workout Manager is a program you provide at no cost, it's a crucial part of the program. I am not aware of any other way to figure out a 1RM. So since you can't get the full benefits of STS as designed without a 1 RM, you must provide that service. I know I would not have purchased the program if you had to pay extra just to use it. It's like buying a car and the motor is thrown in at no cost.

I brought to your attention that the Workout Card for disc 6 states that one should use 65% of 1RM to do Wall Squats. Weights are used in the video. I didn't realize fixing what appears to be a typo in the workout card is a software problem.

As for the 1RM not showing up, my solution right now is to attempt to calculate and save until it finally takes. Usually about 5-6 attempts. Can you feel my frustration?

I will keep posting any errors I find as I move through the program for the simple reason that you have a quality program and it should be perfect without errors.

It really is impossible for anyone to make a software program that will work perfectly on every computer, every operating system and every browser. Microsoft can't do it, Apple can't do it, Adobe can't do it...Nobody can do it as there are just too many variables.

And yes everything you see in the WM is controlled by PHP and CSS. What may seem as a simple typo to many people might take an employee with a Masters Degree in computer science several hours to correct. Some things that look simple may or not be simple to fix.

The Workout Manager is a beta program and that means it is full of bugs and problems that will be fixed over time as they are reported. We've already in just the last month fixed several hundred bugs, but even when we give the WM "Gold status", it still will have problems for certain browsers and operating systems.

Even if the WM works perfectly on your computer today, Microsoft could release an update tomorrow that could cause the WM not to work correctly.

Until we figure the problem out you may want to download a different browser like "Firefox" and see if that helps. Firefox is free and is actually a much better browser than IE. You can still use IE for all of your other needs, but just use Firefox temporarily for the WM

As for the 1RM problem you're having this is a recently reported bug that only some people are having. None of our computers or systems are having this issue. I don't doubt that this is a problem, but it is very difficult to find a solution when the error can't be seen or duplicated by us. We do have developers looking into this, but they only started late on Friday and don't have a solution at this time.

Just missing taking a 1RM test for a few exercises is not going to have a significant impact on your workout. If your problem is larger than a few exercises there are plenty of online 1RM calculators that you can use if ours is currently not working for you.

We're looking into this problem, but we're just beginning the quest and don't currently have a solution.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. Will implement your recommendations until bugs are fixed. I believe so much in your product that I suspended my gym membership, bought all the equipment I need and follow your instructions as described.
After only 4 weeks of use, I can't believe how incredibly well my body has responded to STS. You can understand how I don't want to deviate from the program in any way.

Consider a T-shirt with the logo "BODY BY CATHE"

Enjoy the snow:)

1RM vanishing results bug now fixed

This bug has now been identified and fixed. The problem occurred only when a user clicked on an existing 1RM result to view or change their 1RM result and then tried to enter a new test for an exercise. The code didn't realize this was a new exercise and just over wrote the data for the exercise that was previously viewed. This has now been fixed, but let us know if you're still seeing a problem.
