12 Week Challenge, Sunday the 13th

Hi all! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Sunday nights always make me sad, esp when DH has been off all weekend. I always hate to see him go back to work Monday morning.

Today, we had Sunday School here at our house, so I made breakfast casserole and cinnamon bread. I wasn't planning on eating any, but I gave into temptation. Today was supposed to be a rest day, but after the extra caloric intake, I decided to do 4DS LIS. That ROCKS! It was my first time doing it and I really enjoyed it. I think I am going to start a 4DS rotation and see if that doesn't kick it into high gear for me.

Can anyone recommend a good barbell? I really want the old Firm barbell, the short one, I think it is padded and had the chrome plate weights. I am kicking myself for not ordering it back in the day of my daily Firm workouts. Everything else I see is so big and bulky and my WO equipment closet is tight on space.

Tomorrow is itread. I also have my MOPS meeting and there will be LOTS of food there. My plan is to get a good breakfast before I go and bring a Larabar with me. I will not give in again!}(

Good evening everyone. I haven’t had much time for personals since we started, but I’m going to try post them on the weekends. Today, I didn’t do much of anything except eat too much. DD and I met for breakfast after church and it was not a healthy breakfast. I had to go into the office today for a couple of hours so the rest of my schedule was off. When I get done typing, I’m going to go upstairs and do an upper body workout. Now that I posted it, I have to do it. LOL. Already took a rest day on Friday so I better do it.

Gayle, wow you even get up early on your rest days. I don’t know how you do it. Hope you and the boys had fun watching the game. Not too much nail biting at the end there I hope. I thought of those watching the game as I drove by the stadium on my way home from work. I couldn’t believe how they pack those cars into the surround parking lots. I’ve only been to one Cowboy game there in all the years we lived here.

Lori, congrats on the new TM. How sweet of DH to get one for you. Sounds like you are enjoying it.

Lorrie 3 lbs, down is great. You should be glad that the scale is moving, even if it’s slower than you would like. And the inches are showing the progress you are making so keep up the great work.

~E, 3 months til your cruise, how fun. Where does your cruise go? I’m jealous. I love cruises.

Marcia, it’s so hard to come back to reality after a trip. DH and I went to Cabo San Lucas last month and I didn’t want to come home.

Roxie, hope you’re feeling better. Hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Meredith, the wine tasting sounds like fun., but the snow. Brrrr!

Kath, welcome to the group. Sounds like you’re off to a great start. I’m a recent empty nester (DD whose almost 21 just moved into an apartment on Monday). Sounds like with the ages of yours, you’ll be there pretty soon too. As for the college books, do you just list them locally or on line to sell them? DD has tried to sell back to the college bookstore, but they don’t offer you much.

Christine, great job on the 5 lb loss. I know when I get really busy with work stuff, I rarely lose so I’m impressed that you can keep it all together and still lose.

Gin, maybe you were just having an off day. If your energy level continues to feel low you might want to up your carbs.

Jacgue, hope you enjoyed your rest day too.

Sue, sounds like you are motivated and ready for this next week. Let me know if talking to the scale helps. If so, maybe I’ll need to start talking to mine too.

Andrea, sounds like you survived the sleep over. I’m sure the boys enjoyed it. Glad you’re posting over here. I’ve missed checking in with you from our old WW site.

Nancy, I agree that staying the same is great when cycle is approaching. That means that next week you should have a nice loss.

Hi Sheree, another Texas girl here. What part do you live in? I’m in the Fort Worth/Dallas area.

Roxie, for a bad day that doesn’t look too bad (with the exception of the Doritos). Mine was far worse. Lets just say it started off at IHOP. I did rein it in for the evening though to bring it back under control. Tomorrow I will hopefully be back to healthy eating.

Jonahnah, your light day looks like my regular. I’m hoping to kick it up a notch by the end of this challenge. Hope you don’t get too much snow.

Becca, great job on burning off some extra calories. As for a bar bell set, I got mine at Target. It came in a storage box, but I didn’t like the threaded bar and ended up getting a regular bar and clips at Academy. Good luck with your search.

Hello to everyone else. Week 3 here we come.
