:D Happy dance!!! :D I did 1 toe push-up this morning when I did my pre-week 3 test...maybe not all the way to the floor, but it was at least 2/3 down! :D

So today was test day and I decided to test without handles. I managed a total of 19 so that keeps me in column 1 for next week. I think I will incorporate handles slowly, maybe 1 set with, then every other, and so on.

Debbie~ thank you so much for the lower body solution link! :D:D:D
I actually had heard about it in 99, but completely forgot about it. I think I'm going to try to start on Monday. I'm going to order the book if I can't find it at my local used bookstore. It's crazy, there are listing of it selling for over $100! Insane!

Have a super weekend everyone! Our weather in SC is perfect! Upper 70's and clear blue sky! I hope y'all have the same!

WTG Becky!! Keep it up!! Hope you enjoy the nice weather today. It's beautiful here also, but I've been sneezing all day...hope it goes away soon!

Off day for pushups for me; I tried out another pilates workout from Netflix. It wasn't bad, and I did work up a little bit of a sweat.

Hi Jodi!
I hope your allergies are better today!
What pilates tapes have you tried? I have some old ones by Kathy Smith, Winsor Pilates (the original set) and I think Karen Voight. I'm going to dig them back out b/c many of the exercises my phys. therapist gave me were very close or actual pilates moves. I've taken several classes at the YMCA and think I'll be able to follow along much better now that I've had real coaching.

OT~ my husband hit a huge 10 point buck in his Tahoe last night. He's fine, but the truck is a mess and the deer is in the freezer! My insurance agent had just talked me out of dropping full coverage last month! Whew! I owe her flowers!!

I hope everyone else had a great weekend and I look forward to being amazed by your astonishing numbers!:D
It's week 3 for me!

Hi Becky!

Whoa...glad to hear your DH is okay! That must have been scary! Glad to hear the insurance will cover it too. It is kind of interesting, though, that of all things for him to hit, it was something that you can now eat. (My DD is horrified at the thought, but it makes sense to me!)

Yesterday I did 10 Minute Solution: Rapid Results Pilates Netflix has it as one of their "instant" videos that you can watch immediately on the website. So I took the laptop down to the workout room to try it out. It was pretty good, but I think I would have liked more reps on each move rather than moving quickly to new moves. It has 5 different 10 minute segments that work different areas. Last week I did Pick Your Level: Weight Loss Pilates, and although it was shorter and probably a little easier, I liked the flow better. I still haven't found a pilates workout that I "love". How are the ones that you have? I'm trying to find something a bit more advanced than the beginner DVDs I keep finding. I like that I can try them at Netflix first...keeps me from wasting my money.

Did week 5 day 1 today. After my test the other day, I am still following the third column. It is really tough now!! 36/40/30/24/40. I had to take a bunch of breaks during some of the sets. Looking ahead, it looks like the reps change significantly later this week. Instead of doing more pushups in the earlier sets, there are fewer, and the final set has more. I guess that's to get us closer to doing one hundred in a row?

For the rest of my workout I did 4DS kickbox.

Allergies (or whatever that was yesterday) seem fine today....thanks for asking!

I guess everyone else is taking a pushup break this weekend? Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Jodi,
I'm glad you're feeling better! :)
And wow!!!! Amazing push-up numbers!!!! You go girl!!!! :D
I'll have to get back to you on which of my pilates I like best....it's been a long time since I've done them. I do remember the Winsor were well cued and mid-length. The Karen Voight is really long and I couldn't stay focused. Kathy Smith is ok, but you have to like her style. I'll keep you posted as I get reacquainted with them!

Oh, I forgot the irony of the deer vs. DH.......he was on his way home from the woods after an unsuccessful deer hunt! LOL! :p
