10 minute trainer question

so last night i couldn't sleep and saw tony hortons 10 min trainer infomercial. lately i have been feeling burnt out from working out even though i'm taking 2 days rest during the week. my workouts are usually 1hr per day 5 days a week. my thought was mabe i could get these workouts and do one in the a.m. and one in the p.m. But i worry that going from 1hr per day to 20 min per day is not enough since my body is used to longer duration workouts. also, do you think that these workouts are intense enough to challenge someone who has been working out for 10 yrs?

I also saw the infomercial last night! It looks pretty interesting! Although i don't have the money to order it i would also like to hear any thoughts on it for future purchase!

It might not be a bad idea to try for a week to change up your routine and get you interested in workouts again. Good luck!

I didn't see the infomercial, but I just looked it up. It looks like Tony incorporates cardio in with the weight training and yoga, so you're doing several things at once? Could be the most difficult 10 mins. you ever spent. I would like to have a DVD with several 10 min. workouts to do on weekdays, and leave my longer workouts for weekends, so I'm going to take a closer look.

Yeah, they're only 10 min but they're pretty intense! Let me know if you have any more questions!

I have 10 Minute Trainer

Hi Ladies... I just thought I'd chime in here on this one... I purchased this set that contains 4-10 minute butt kicking workouts and a yoga stretch session and think I paid about $80 +/- for it. I have done each segment exactly.... mmmm.... twice in the past 3 months since I ordered it, except for the yoga I only did once because I'm SO not that limber yet. I would say that I am a sucker for anything that says "fast" as I have said before that I'm all for instant gratificaton... I can not speak for everyone, but IMHO these are great if you are already have a regular routine and you are not relying on these alone for that miracle loss of 40 lbs in the next 8 weeks, but to suppliment an existing workout that may be getting squeezed due to time constraints then I would encourage anyone to purchase this...

The moves are compound in every sense of the word. you are working at LEAST 2 major muscle groups at a time, and the first full body workout I did I had to quit after 5 minutes and rest a bit to finish! and talk about sore!!!

So, overall I would recommend it, but not to completely rely on it to get the kind of rock solid workouts that I now get with Cathe :)

I know this is about Tony Horton's 10 min trainer but for those of you looking for 10 min workouts have you tried any of the 10 min solution DVD's? They are definitely not super intense but they are great for add ons or for those days that your feeling burned out and just need to move. Yesterday I added on the 10M Abs segment from the stability ball dvd with Kimberly Spreen after 4DS Double Cardio premix.

These are the ones I have and with exception to the pilates ones (couldn't quite get into pilates...tried though) I've enjoyed them:

Kickbox Bootcamp
Carb Burner
Blast Off Belly Fat
Fitness Ball Workouts
Yoga
Rapid Results Pilates
Pilates

Oh and another one that I use is:
Quick Fix Total Mix: The Complete Total Body Workout System
