    Really stupid counting calories question

    okay...don't laugh.... If I make a recipe that calls for 1/2 cup oil, and 10 people eat that recipe, how do I know what calories I actually consumed? I know I can divide the 1/2 c by 10, but, I could be getting more or less than my share, know what I mean? thanks:) Jessica
