    Hair color and beauty question...

Hi Stacy, I have been coloring/highlighting my hair for years, it does get expensive. When dealing with gray hair the best IMHO is to go light, start by highlighting to a blonde color. The nice thing about hi & low lighting is you can do it gradually, it takes some time to adjust if you are...

    Favorite Mat?

I love my Lululemon mat, I have purchased almost every mat on the market and this is by far the best. It costs around $60 I think. If you do not like it they will return it which is really nice. I noticed that mine wasn't as "sticky" after 6 months and they replaced it free!! Katie

Hi Elsie & Cendrine, I have decided to go back to work (nursing), so I have been busy taking "refresher classes". I haven't worked in quite a few years so I am studying 10 hours/day. There isn't much time left to do a workout, but I do try to walk the dog for 30 min/day. I am planning on going...

Hi Elsie, This week has been digging out from the storm, we received 31 inches! it is supposed to be warm this weekend so hopefully a lot of melting will occur. I went to my anti gravity class yesterday. The woman who teaches this class just finished her aerial 1&2 instructor class in NYC...

Wow, your living situation sounds terrible! I really hope something becomes available soon so you can move. We are getting hammered with snow today, we already have 15, potential of 25. They just called a blizzard warning in our area. Originally they predicted 3-6 inches, boy were they wrong...

Oh Elsie, I am so sorry to hear you still are having sleep issues. Sleep deprivation is the worst. Have you found any other places to live yet? I hope you find something soon. Yesterday was yoga, today I am planning on doing a lower body w/o.

    Ripped with Hiit or X-Train

I am 53 and would agree that Xtrain is better. RWH was very hard on my joints and low back. I will use the ab routines from RWH but that is all I use from this series.

Exerciers with physical health challenges new check in

I didn't go to my yoga class yesterday due to the frigid temps, so I decided to do ICE sweat. I kept the weights at 3 pounds so that my elbows wouldn't act up on me. I have to say I really like this w/o, my HR was in the 160-170 zone quite a lot. I was not going to do cathe's w/o anymore but...

Dawn, thank you for the acupuncture info., I will definitely need to look into doing this at some point. Yesterday I did my yoga class, we worked on chest opening and awareness. It is amazing how opening your chest can help in so many postures. Yesterday I went for a 2 hour massage, my boys got...

Elsie, I hope all goes well with your follow-up ultrasound, and hip Xray. I really enjoy the yoga classes I have been taking, she really concentrates on alignment, when she realizes people are not in correct alignment she will work on those skills. I wish I could afford to go more often. Today...

Elsie, I decided that even though I won't be doing as much I can still check in with you all. I really enjoy hearing what all of you are doing. I went to yoga on tues and must have pulled either my lat muscle or pec. I have been having chest pain for the last 24 hours, fortunately I know that it...

Exerciers with physical health challenges new check in

I am quite sure that my elbow pain is not golfer's elbow, but arthritis. The elbow pain is on both sides and is continually getting worse. I think I am going to stop lifting and only do yoga and walking. I love cathe's w/o's but they seem to be making my arthritis worse. I don't think I will be...

Elsie, I hope you get your new DVD's this week. Today I did the boot camp circuit, blizzard blast (with modifications), muscle meltdown and core 1. This w/o was pretty easy for me since I kept it low impact. It really is tough modifying moves I know I can do, damn knees!

I would say that work is definitely considered stress! Trying to work, take care of family, cook, clean, etc.., this is all stressful. Thank goodness for exercising, it is the only way for me to lower my stress level.

Elsie, I am so sorry you still are not feeling well. Hopefully you will get better soon, and be able to move. I hope the manager gets back to you soon. Today I did ICE rock EM sock EM, and the tricep muscle work. I enjoyed the w/o but my elbows and knees did not. Looks like it will be one that...

Today I did low impact sweat 1&2 and To the mat legs. I am really happy I did sweat first because to the mat wasn't very hard. I think next time I will do sweat 1 or 2 and then do to the mat with the shoulder work.

My sons and their significant others all left today, I didn't get any workouts in while they were here. Today I did the ICE metabolic total body, the add on blizzard which I modified a lot to keep it low impact, and the core 1. It had a lot of new moves which were interesting, I need to do it...

Exerciers with physical health challenges new check in

Today is probably the only day I will be able to w/o with the holidays. I did the Ice LI sweat 1&2, the back muscle breakdown, and core 2. I burned 560 calories. I don't think I have ever burned that many calories doing a cathe w/o. It wasn't very hard, but I definitely felt it. Have a...

Quite a lot of people I talk to about it are afraid, it really is fun. Once you learn to trust the hammock, you will realize that it is very hard to actually fall out of it.. I have done some crazy things on mine and never have fallen out. Yesterday I did Athletic training. My son popped in on...
