    TTC/Preg Check in June 20th

    Stephanie- please find a way to spend more than I did. I'll feel much better about myself. Kate- no idea what I bought. there were no 'big ticket' items- just a lot of little stuff. No clothes, no make up, etc. Jen- I've fallen bunches of times pregnant. I think unless you go down a...

    TTC/Preg Check in June 20th

    Hi everyone. I had my dr. appt yesterday. I am a fingertip dialated and very soft, but that's it (but that's good for me). I am 38 weeks. A quick u/s revealed good fluid and the head has moved down just a little. Big monkey wrench: my friend and her husband (my ob) called yesterday...

    Caffene and Diet Drinks

    I always found coffee gross in the first trimester, but in trimesters 2 and 3 I drink one tall starbucks a day (usually don't finish it). I was always worried my kids would be caffeine addicted or something at birth, but so far so good. as for sweetener, I also found it gross in trimester 1...

    ```````````````` TTC/Preggos Sunday '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
    Hi. We hosted brunch this morning and the family just left. It was very nice. I am shocked by the amount of food we consume. The cousins who were "little kids" just a few years ago are now teenagers that eat A LOT of food. I hope Anne is above water. She lives in Iowa, right? We live...
    milk production
    How frustrating. You're doing a lot of things I would try. Maybe call a lactation consultant too? I don't think it's exercise. I know you're not dieting, but are you eating enough? When my milk seemed low I'd drink beer (with dinner) and eat oatmeal. Re work: I am like you and only...
    TTC/Preg June 13 ** FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
    HI everyone. Susan, no advice, just hugs. I use photobucket too. If I can figure it out, anyone can. Melanie, dump your realtor if you need to. She should be on your team. There's a big difference between trying to negotiate and trying to strong arm you. Candra, the workout on the...
    aidan michael morris
    Morris- congratulations! I am glad Aidan is healthy and nursing well. Don't beat yourself up over his size or delivery. I had an emergency c/s with #1 and it took me a while to accept it. When baby is stressing during labor and the dr. and nurses are concerned, there aren't really any other...
    Tick question
    Thanks for the responses. I did call the ob. He's not that worried. Lyme disease is pretty rare around here (Missouri). It's not a deer tick. I think it's a Lonestar tick. According to the dept of Conservation, it's the most common tick here and this thing has a little white dot on it...
    **** TTC/Preg *** June 11 ****
    Not much time to post. I went to the ob today. Did a quick u/s- placenta and fluid levels are good. Dr. is fine with me proceeding as a VBAC which I am VERY happy about. Next week is an internal check and u/s to measure baby. Dr. said I didn't look like I was carrying big, but I reminded...
    Tick question
    I thought I had a mosquito bite a couple of days ago on my back. I didn't think much of it. Today I 'felt' something on my back. I thought it was dried food from my kids, so I yanked it off. It was a tick. It's probably been on my back since SUnday (I dropped my daughter off at camp and...
    Pinching cervical pains?
    Does it feel like a corkscrew going through your cervix? Not sure what it is, but I've always gotten it about 37 weeks through delivery.
    Melanie/Trish- you guys crack me up with your acreage. We have a yard that is maybe 100 by 50 feet. It's so small that my husband has an electric mower with an extension cord. And he still complains about mowing the lawn. Stephanie- my girls have been out of school for a week now and this...
    Susan- I spotted to varying degrees with all four pregnancies, this one included. Hope your numbers go up. In fact, with kid #3, it was weeks 6-12, bright red, etc. Kate- I've always thought a placenta looks like a flank steak. Interesting. trish- i think you asked about the running...
    TTC/Preggers Week of June 1st
    Jen- your workouts look great to me. I have really enjoyed cutting back to 4 or 5 times a week. It frees up a lot of time and I've been trying to spend more time with my kids. Here's what I cannot do: shave my legs/bikini line. I cannot be at the pool this summer unless such challenges are...
    TTC/Preggers Week of June 1st
    I am tired too. I don't know if it's my age (37) or the fact I am chasing 3 other kids around. As for my maternal age, my first child was born at 29, 2nd at 31, 3rd at 34 and with this one, I'll be 37. We married when I was 28. We have a WiiFit. The kids love it. Even the 2 year old can...
    TTC/Preggers Week of May 25
    What a busy board. Mel, keep us posted. I always start with a faint line before it becomes a "real" line. Kate, yeah for another girl. I have two girls, then a boy. I remember how excited I was that I'd have three girls in a row (yes, you read that right- I was told a girl but it was a...
    Advice on rice cookers
    We got a National (Panasonic) rice cooker with the fuzzy logic technology 7+ years ago. totally worth buying. Never makes a bad batch of rice. Idiot-proof. You can load and preset it in the morning and come home at dinner to cooked rice. I have also heard good things about the Zojirushi.
