My cardio is treadmill interval 2x a week. I do 9 sets of walking at 4.5 mph for 1 min and running at 7.5-8 mph for 1.5 min - total time of 45 min. The other day is walking :)
I'm trying to gain some muscle tone and I also add some cardio for weight loss. I've heard people say that if you're trying to build muscle cardio can interfere with your development, but I'm confused how much cardio is too much to hinder results.
What kind of cardio do y'all like to...
I want to get the medium resistance Spri band for the floorwork in Butts and Guts, but I don't know if the weight would be appropriate. It is supposed to have 10 lbs of resistance, and Cathe uses 2.5 ankle weights.
Is this too much or do you think this medium resistance band would be okay to use?
I'm looking to buy either Athletic Training or Afterburn, but I'm not sure which one to get... If anyone has any opinion or preference please share! :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the info. I had been thinking about going vegetarian for a long time, possibly vegan (but I love eggs and cheese!). For awhile I was eating like a vegetarian and didn't even realize until I described my diet.
I really am interested in a vegetarian diet...
I think I may have insulin resistance because my underarms are slightly dark. I'm not diabetic (my blood sugar is good), but diabetes runs in my family.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of foods I should be eliminating? I don't eat sweets that much and I only eat whole grains...
I could suggest an alternative to luna bars: lara bars. I used to eat luna bars all the time, until I read they are basically candy bars. Plus there are some chocolate flavored lara bars :)
I'm a beginning dancer and I've done Cathe videos in the past but am now working with pilates and yoga, etc to keep up my flexibility. A lot of dancers have said they don't do heavy weight work and it can make them less flexible...Do any of you agree with this?
