My Success Story
I have a chronic pain syndrome I was diagnosed with when I was 16 years old. I was prescribed synthetic drugs to aid with the symptoms (pain and severe fatigue) but chose not to take them for fear of developing some other symptoms that could possibly be life threatening. I exercise daily to combat these feelings/symptoms and to keep pain and fatigue at bay. I've also had 2 reconstructive back surgeries as a result of a snowboarding accident. (I was hit from behind by an out of control snowboarder.) I was paralyzed down my left leg for over 1 year. Slowly and gradually increasing my strength and activity level with fitness has allowed me to be pain free (from my back) and I also teach aerobic kickboxing (low-impact) and yoga and pilates. I am currently training for body building and possibly to compete in a figure competition. I am in the best shape of my life and I'm so grateful for the progress I've made. Everyday I am able to exercise reminds me of how amazing the human body
