Honest Opinion on Best Step to Buy

I am in the baby-step transition from other home fitness programs. I've got to say I ABSOLUTELY love being a Cathelete. :)

I am seriously thinking getting a step with 4 risers for maximum height to do some of Cathe's workouts. I am wondering if anyone out there could offer an honest opinion on the best step to buy. I am looking for both durability and stability that even my hubby of 6'3" frame can use. Also, my home gym flooring is carpeted, not plush or with heavy padding, though.

I plan on using the step for weightlifting and trying some of Cathe's Step workouts. :)( Very scared of step workouts, at this point. I am not well- coordinated.)

The one I am looking at is: Altus Athletic Altus Cardio Club Step with 4-Risers. Has anyone gotten good use of this step and can offer a review on that?

Thank you very much!

I love my fitness by Cathe cardio club step! Great stability! I feel extremelty safe jumping up and down from it, stepping, weight lifting (oh, and hoping up to kill an occasional spider on the ceiling! :D) Check out shop.cathe.com and take a look at the packages that they offer with the step too. It might be an opportunity to order one that comes with a Cathe DVD that you don't have yet :p

as for the stepping... don't be scared. We all look like clumsy fools while we learn to step, but it is SO worth it to keep at it until you get it down! Stepping with Cathe is a total BLAST!

Good luck!

I have no insight on where to buy the step/risers but if you are new to stepping, I highly recommend starting with Cathe's Basic Step work out!

Thank you!

Thank you very much for your response! :D

The step I am looking at in my original post is: Altus Cardio Club Step with 4-Risers. That turns out to be exactly the one you recommend when I went to shop.cathe.com. Awesome! I will definitely take a serious look at what other specials Cathe has going on besides the Cardio Club Step package bundle. :)

I will try not to get too scared about the Step workouts! I tend to do well in simple athletic interval workouts like Insanity, MMA, Kickboxing, etc. I figure now it's time for me to venture into something I am not good at.

Thanks again!

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip.

Is the Basic Step workout you mentioned is the one called 'Basic Step & Body Fusion'? I noticed it's bundled with Cathe's Cardio Step.

Thanks!!

Yes, it comes with Body Fusion which is a circuit work out. I thought Basic Step was also sold separately but maybe I am wrong about that.
