Hey, everyone, I am still really busy but now I get to add sick to the list!:mad: I have a head cold and feel pretty yucky. Took Saturday & Sunday off but managed to do Turbo Jam Fat Blaster this morning. 30 minutes was more than enough.

Hey ladies. I am taking a couple of days off of weights. My back was really bothering me yesterday and this morning. It's better this afternoon. I've been stretching a bit. Hopefully by Wed I'll be back into things.

Linda, sorry you are feeling bad :(

Judi, are you recovered from the weekend?
 
Week 2 of BBC and I am happy to report that the HIIT cardio that almost killed me last Monday went a little better today. I still had to pause a few times to catch my breath as Barry does not give any rest in between intervals. Went a little heavier on the weights and pumped out a few more pushups. I think I might actually start to like this program:rolleyes:

Linda- Sorry you are feeling yucky:( Get some rest and hope you feel better soon. Did you see the post in OD about Bodyrocktv.com? She has tabata based workouts that look interesting. Didn't you do some type of tabata training? I'm curious to try some of her HIIT workouts and see how they go. I think I need that cute little pink timer though;)

Catherine- Bummer about your back but you are smart to rest it and take some time off. Hope it feels better soon. The baby shower went great and I posted a pic of the diaper cake I made. BTW, I check out that workout link and all I can say is :eek:

Judi - You are making me think I need to pull out my BBC again. I saw that post about the bodyrock.tv site. I haven't had much of a chance to check it out yet. I definitely agree you need one of those cute pink timer, for that matter so do I.;)

Well my head hurts and I can't breath. So all I managed this morning was 4 DS HIS. Workout was 29 minutes and I burned 243 calories.

Judi, nice job with BBC. But would you please stop talking about it- you're making me want it :D

No workout for me today. I felt like a little old lady trying to get out of bed this morning :confused: Hopefully I'll get on the bike tomorrow:)
 
My head is still pounding. Did Tracey's Sculpt Sweatfest. It was really different and used light weights which is all I could handle this morning. Didn't have a bosu though so I could not add the balance challenge some times and I DID NOT kneel on my ball. Looked like an accident waiting to happen. Have no idea as to the calorie burn as my HRM reset itself in the middle of teh workout again. Geez, I hate that thing. Don't know if I should send it for repair or just buy a new one?
 
Still doing BBC and will probably stick with it for 2 more weeks. I think that is all I can take of the awful music and Barry's annoying chatter. I'm looking forward to getting back to Cathe and I'll either start with 4DS or GS.

Catherine- How is your back doing? You are welcome to borrow my BBC when I'm done if you want to check it out. The cardio is very high impact so I'm not sure how your foot would react.

Judi, I always gravitate back to Cathe too :) Thanks for the offer on BBC but it doesn't sound like it's something I can do. At least right now ;)

I keep working out because I keep waking up!:confused: I tried to go back to sleep but wasn't happening so I said the heck with it, might as well go workout! I am so happy that you came back to life after your heart stopped during your workout this morning! LOL!:p:p:p:p

My abs are already getting sore from this morning!:eek::eek: Thank goodness I am not coughing a lot or that would really hurt!:eek::eek::eek:
 
This morning I did Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio. Workout was 30 minutes and I burned about 250 calories. I was surprised by how high my HR got. It was alot of fun and I really like Shaun T.
 
Just a quick hello. I got my biopsy results yesterday. I had precancerous cells and changes consistent with Barrett's esophagus :( I have an appointment with a GI specialist in a few weeks. For now I continue on meds watch what I eat/drink and plan on getting scopes for the rest of my life.
 
I did BBC full body this morning and must have wrenched my back somehow cuz it ain't happy tonight. Oh....how I love spending my Friday evenings icing my back and popping advil:rolleyes: It was either those damn terminators, endless planks, supermans, pushups........... or maybe all of them combined:confused:

Catherine- I'm sorry about the results you received on your recent scope test. I don't know what Barrett's esophagus is or what the presence of precancerous cells mean but want you to know I'm thinking of you and hope the meds help. HUGS!

Linda- Funny, I burned exactly 250 calories today too! I should see if Netflix has any of Shaun T's workouts....I'm always on the lookout for something different AND fun:)

Thanks for the hugs and prayers ladies. Well, I took almost the whole week off last week. My back needed it anyway :confused: Today I started back up with my second week of Meso1 week 2. Today was Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. My shoulders seemed to fail way early today :eek: I was fine on other stuff- well struggled through the pushups but increased the wt on some of the bicep stuff.

Linda, I hope you are feeling better.

My back is better but then TTOM made a visit and now I'm crampy, crabby and bloated:confused:

Nice job on your workout! I fondly remember all the pushups in Meso1:rolleyes: Mine have been pretty lousy in BBC too. I feel like pushups and pullups just never seem to get easier.

How have you been feeling?
 
Hey Ladies, quick check in. I am feeling better. Been a crazy busy weekend which included taking my Dad to the hospital. He is still there and will have a heart cath tomorrow sometime so I will be there most of the day.


BTW, starting P90X tomorrow!:eek::eek::eek:
 
Linda- How is your dad? Hope everything went OK today with the heart cath. I know what you are going through as I spent a full day at the hospital with my dad when he had his angiogram to check for further blockage a couple months ago. It can be really draining. Hugs!

Catherine- Any chest doms today? Hope you have been feeling better and your foot is less troublesome.


This morning was disc 1 of BBC which is by far the hardest HIIT cardio of the series. I am pleasantly surprised that it is getting easier, only had to pause a couple times and my calorie burn is less.....does that mean I'm getting acclimated? I'm glad I started this because I think it will prep me for Cathe's HIIT workouts coming in STS Cardio;)

Yep, chest DOMs and even a bit of biceps and delt DOMs:eek: As far as how I feel, honestly most of the time yucky. I feel like such a whiney a$$ but that's how I feel. Waiting for meds to kick in. Enough whining,...

Thanks for the prayers. All went well with my Dad's heart cath. Fortunately they did not find any problems or blockages, unfortunately we don't know what caused the pain or exhaustion. And they have had to miss a trip to Florida to see my Uncle who is dying.

- I think the lower calorie burn means just that!


I did P90X Chest and Back today. I dropped to my knees on the pushups when needed and used a chair on the pullups when necessary. Just let me thell you right now my back, especially my traps are hurtin and my chest hurts all teh way down to my rib cage. I ran out of time to do ab ripper x so I will have to try to fit it in somewhere else. I'll post stats tomorrow.
