(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

I decided on Bosu Blast this morning, burned 445 calories and my core was on fire! I probably should have skipped the core part since I did weights & plates yesterday but it is such a good one on the bosu.

Tomorrow is the last workout of Meso 2...Woo Hoo!! I am ready for a recovery week.

Judi, I am so jealous I would love a bosu! Maybe my company needs to buy one!:p

Oh forgot to mention my not graceful attempt at Plyo yesterday. First Plyo was the box jumps and I only have enough for 4 risers, so I am all set up take the first jump up completely misjudge the height my toes bang the side of the step and send it flying off the risers and I land in a heap on top of it!:p

Hey ladies. Just a quick update. I went to the doctor this morning and he is treating me for an ulcer. You can not truly diagnose one unless you do a scope, but he is going on my symtpoms and exam. I have a bunch of blood work pending and am starting on some meds.

My foot is acting a little better and I plan on starting back up tomorrow and we'll see what happens.

Linda-OUCH on those box jumps!! You are so lucky you didn't hurt yourself.

Judi, you are a maniac- hoping on the elliptical or bike when you have leg DOMS

The last workout of meso 2 is done!! I am looking forward to a recovery week as my muscles are sore and tight.

Catherine- Glad to hear you got in to see your doctor. Hoping for a quick recovery and that you can get back to working out soon.

Linda- Nice workout. I had to laugh at your comment on the 27 # being too easy for concentration curls. I had all I could handle with 20's today:eek: Of course in my defense, it was the very last set of biceps exercises in the workout and I was tired:rolleyes:

Also, do you enter your STS workouts manually into your workout manager calendar? All of the sudden, mine have disappeared and I see someone else asked about it in the support forums. I sure hope they can fix it cuz it would be a bummer to have to enter everything again.

OK, I am gonna try to get back into the saddle today  I think I'll do Lauren Brooks KB w/o sticking with my 8 kg bell. I might try some chinups if I feel like it.

- Are you asking about entering the weights you used? I don't key mine into the w/o manager.

Catherine
- How you feeling?

Saturday I did Kimberly Spreen's Cardio Combat Surge. What a really fun work out-it incorporates med ball and body bar routines along with kickboxing. Workout was 1:09 and I burned 531 calories.

This morning was Meso 3 Disc 28 CHest & Back which is just a repeat of last week but increasing the weight by 5% and decreasing the reps by one. Had a great workout. These were done push/pull style but with a rest between every set.

Oh and I load two different bars for this workout so I don't have to keep changing the weight out and used my 25# plates for the first time on the bar I had loaded for back. I felt like such a bad a$$ with those huge plates on there.:p:p:p:p

CHEST & BACK ROUND 1
Warm up Flat Bench Press
12/12 -55/60#

Flat Bench Press
7/7/7/7 - 95# (up 5#)
Barbell Rows
7/7/7/7 - 92# (jumped the weight by 10# this week)

CHEST & BACK ROUND 2
Chest Flys
7/7/7/7 - 30's (up 3#)
One Arm Row
7/7/7/7 - 49# (up 3#)

CHEST & BACK ROUND 3

Incline Bench Press
7/7/7/7 - 80# (up 5#)
Deadlifts
7/7/7/7 - 102# (up 7#)

CHEST & BACK ROUND 4
Incline Chest Flys
7/7/7/7 - 27's (up 3#)
One Arm Horizontal Row
7/7/7/7 - 44# (up 3#)

Workout was 1:05 and I burned 375 calories.

I'm on my recovery week and started out with Amy's Kickbox Surge. This was only the 2nd time I've done it so I had to stop and rewind a few times. Still, I burned 523 calories followed by an hour walk with the dog and burned another 189. Good thing too cuz I need to drop some poundage:confused:

Catherine- How did Lauren's KB go? Did you get in any chins? I think I'm going to revisit P90X after STS. All those push ups and pull ups made me feel tough;) Hope you are feeling better.

Linda- I was entering my workouts (not the weights used) into the calendar and all the sudden they disappeared. SNM has fixed the problem so just ignore my whining:eek: Nice workout, impressive numbers and YOU are a bad ass;)

FINALLY a workout done :D I did Lauren's KB w/o. I used my 8 & 12 kg bells. At first I didn't need the 1 min rest between rounds but toward the end I did :p I didn't do chins but will try to fit them in later in the week. I don't know if I'll go back to my P90X rotation yet. I wanna get the foot back to where it was.

Overall I still feel like blech. I am on meds for my stomach but everything I eat makes me feel sick. And I love to eat!! I am sure this too shall pass.

Linda, nice job!! Meso 3 had a big dread factor for me. But boy I felt accomplished lifting those heavy weights!!

Judi, I hope you are enoying your recovery week!! You'll need it with Meso 3 coming up :p

Judi- Thanks! Are you ready for Meso 3? While I like Meso 3 the rest seems endless, and I tire of listening to Cathe chat all the time. I am so use to being on my own.:p

Catherine
- Great job on the workout! As far as the eating goes I need to have that problem right now!:p Seriouly though, I hope you feel better soon!

This morning was Strikezone skipping the pushups in Strike 9 and just doing planks (chest is fried from yesterday). Workout was 57 minutes and I burned 439 calories.

Interesting that I worked TRi's on Friday and they are STILL sore!:D

Linda, I can not imagine for the life of me why you didn't do pushups today :p

I do think I am feeling better. A bit less pain with eating and I am getting my energy back!!

Did I tell you all that I am meeting up with Beavs, Tammy, Nancy, and TeTe in NYC this weekend? I am sooooo excited :eek:

Catherine, glad to hear you are starting to feel better! How exciting about your weekend in NYC! Have fun!

I was planning on a CC w/o this evening on the bike but I went to the hospital instead. My Great Aunt had a stroke last night. She is 87 years old. Now she is paralyzed on the left side and can not swaollow :( She doesn't want any extra life supporting measures. She has an IV for fluids but if she can not swallow, she can not eat :( Unless she improves quickly she will starve to death :( I hate to see her going through this and just pray she doesn't suffer.

I actually liked Meso 3 the best in my first round of STS. I had never pushed myself to lift that heavy before and it was empowering. I needed that rest period and usually just walked around while hitting the MUTE button;)

Catherine- I'm sorry to hear about your Great Aunt:( Prayers for her comfort and recovery. Please keep us posted.

I'm glad you are starting to feel better. Have fun in NYC with the other Catheites!

I forgot to post my workout yesterday:eek: I did CCV8 on the elliptical. Those hills are killer and I cranked my resistance up to 12....it felt like pushing a tank across the floor!

Today is CleanMax which means I am very crabby because I hate cleaning my house:mad: It takes me about 8 hours and I'm tempted to wear my HRM just to see how many calories I burn:rolleyes:

Being half German and a fan of Oktoberfest, I went to a German cooking class last night. I learned how to make spatzel, weiner schnitzel, westphalian braised cabbage, himmel und erbe potatoes, potato pancakes, sauerkraut and sampled 3 kinds of sausages. Washed all that food down with an Oktoberfest beer. YUM!! :p

I like Meso 3, it's my type of lifting, but I guess I haven't done lifting with long rests is a while, because they seem exceptionally long. :p Ahh, I never thought about the mute button.;) I get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again.

Nice workout! And I hate cleaning too! Boy, that's a lot of food!

I have been running around all day, heck I am still not even home I am at work. But I did Meso 3, Disc 29 Plyo Legs this morning. Workout was 54 minutes and I burned 481 calories. Those plyo workouts are tough! I will post my stats tomorrow!

Judi, I can only imagine CC on the elliptical. It's tough enough for me on the bike. Your cooking class sounds great!!

Linda, I figured Meso 3 would be right up your alley. Did you buy the discs? I thought you were doing them from the w/o cards.

I doubt I'll have time to post this evening. I'll be busy packing. I will be back around next week and hopefully in the full swing of things!
