50 and over week of May 24 check in

Magnolia – I wanted to let you know that intervals 4-7 on Low Max is another good fairly simple stepping mix. Intervals 1-3 are a bit more complex. There are premixes for both. The blasts premix on this DVD is really good too. Good luck on that paper!! My dream job would have been in landscaping. I love having dirt under my nails. I am so happy you love CLX!! :D

On my way down to do the last disc of Meso 1 -- I would be happier if it was not legs. ;)

Good morning everyone!

Just a quick check in before I get to work here (busy day!).

Thanks, Jann. I do have Low Max, and as I am writing this, I am previewing the 4-7 premix. It looks like something I can manage. Although I really like Chalene's cardios, I really like to mix things up. Cathe's are really the best as far as I'm concerned. If I can squeeze in some time today, I will do this premix.

Joan, Beth & Tricia, hope you are all well. Have a great day, everyone.:D

Great Magnolia - Can't wait to hear what you think.

Just finished disc 12 woooohoooo!! I plan to do the 4DS BootCamp premix tomorrow and then a week off from weights!! My poor old, old, body really needs a break. :p I am not sure what type of cardio I'll be doing next week, at the current moment I am thinking anything that does not require using my legs... ;)

Good afternoon,

I did finish RS late last night.

Jann I did clean "that" closet yesterday but I didn't use as many calories.
I do my garden in spring and fall. During the summer I only go out early to water. From the middle of June until the middle of August I pretty much don't go outside except to go to the car. My body just doesn't do well with the heat and humidity. It's probably just the humidity because in Las Vegas we do a lot of walking outside when we go on vacations.
Yea for finishing disc 12.:D Rest those legs up, I bet it won't get any easier.

Magnolia make sure you give us results when you finish CLX.

Today is disc 10 and stablity ball abs. I'll catch up eventually. I should still get 4-5 days off. I like that I don't feel like I have missed wo if I miss a day. I just adjust schedule.

I think I better check to see if grass is dry enough to mow. bbl

Ready for Disc 11!

Hey everyone,

I'm just jumping on here quickly to say I did Cardio Fusion yesterday, minus the DrillMax drills (about 58ish minutes) and I was sweating up a storm!! Now I'm going to get my weights for Disc 11, BACK and Triceps - WooHoo:D

Hoping I get some time tonight to come back and get caught up with everybody!

Joan you sound like my husband. He swears to me that he is going to burst into flames if I make him go outside. LOL He hates the humidity. He grew up in mid-California were I swear it's always cold.
I wish you could come and clean my "that closet" I looked at it again today and closed the door. I know I'll have to get to it. It just means sorting and pitching and taking things to goodwill. ugh.

I just reread my previous post... I swear a lot! :D

Its Saturday morning. I got up early to do my cardio and I just can't. I am so tired my whole body is sore. Taking a DOR and hitting it tomorrow.

Have a great day girls!

Hello Jann, Tricia, Magnola and Beth,

I wonder if one of the best things about STS is recognizing that we need to rest to get better. That and increasing the amount we can actually lift.

Jann I think I'll try your idea and move treadmill right in front of tv. If I want to watch anything I have to walk.

Yesterday I got disc 10 in but need to add abs today. I also mowed the yard. Calorie burned for the day was just a little over 2000 but I only wore armband when mowing.

Have a good weekend.

I agree. My body is feeling it.

I know I have walked many times watching tv!

resting

Tried to quote you Joan, but I don't know how to do that-- but I wanted to agree with you on the resting and on the use of greater weights- and also continually adding on weight. I just finished legs disc 3 in my second go around with sts- I remembered that I couln't do those wall squats with weights the first time and now I can. And, when you have your week off, you not only really feel like you earned it, but it seemed that the body shed some weight during those weeks.

Just got my pace weights- I thought I would try them this time. I did order cardio kicks before I read everyone's advice (thank you all) and I am thinking about the arm band.. but I think my problem is still going to be figuring out what I just ate when I start grazing.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi again, ladies,

I didn't get to post yesterday, we were quite busy! We spent the majority of the day moving my MIL into her new townhouse (two story....ouch!). I can tell you she has some very heavy furniture and some tricky stairs. Thank goodness my DH is in such good shape, because it was him, my MIL and me with the three kids playing around in the background! But that wasn't enough for me, I decided to try Imax 3 when we got home - I did ok until the middle of the first interval, when I tripped myself up doing those jumps and fell down!! At that point, I changed the workout to just the step portion. It was still 35+ minutes of cardio.

The bad news was that I pulled a muscle near my achilles tendon and had to sit it out today....SO I will see how I feel tomorrow, and try to get Disc 12 in soon. (But not before my foot feels better.)

It seems like we are all ready for an active recovery week - I can't wait!!
