((((Chinups/Pullups And Stuff)))

LOL!!:D

Hey Catherine, you're famous! I just finished watching the latest segment of Cathe TV and she mentions your question about wall squats and shows a number of variations.

I saw that lol!! It was a good segment. Now, I will have to try them again  Last time I tried them I did better and used 8 pounders. I know I can go heavier, but I think I will wait and practice some more to go heavier :p

This morning I did AOS Newport with my 20# KB except for some shoulder exercises like SOTS and TGUs. Too worried about my shoulders. Then did stretch from 4 DS BC. Workout was an hour and burned 523 calories.

Saturday I did 4 DS BC, IMAX 3 Step only Premix and the Core segment from Amy's Slo-Mo Challenge. I loved the core work, especially the relays. My abs are still sore.:D:D:D Workout was 1:11 and burn 577 calories.

I am thinking I just might attempt STS on my own. Until recently I haven't done a weight workout with a dvd in a long time and I didn't miss it. Thanks for the help!

Linda, I am soooo jealous of you doing NP!! I totally think you should do STS or even a modified version of it.

I am still sooooooooooooooo congested and sneezing my head off. I had planned on getting back into the swing of things today, but now I am not sure. I will see how I feel when I get home from work. THIS SUCKS!!!! But my foot is making some gradual improvements:D

Catherine - I am so sorry to hear that you feel so lousy! I was hoping things had started looking up for you. I was terrified I was going to get that last virus my kids had, but somehow didn't.:D:D:D BTW, are you doing the RT this year?

OK this is absolutely ridiculous!!! I have almost a whole freaking box of used kleenex in my garbage can at work. My nose is running like a faucet. It's not anything but a cold, well maybe it's allergies flaring now but it was a cold. Antibiotics won't help. I was planning to w/o tonight but I can not breathe :(

Catherine- You could always stuff a couple kleenex up your nose and workout...of course breathing may be a little difficult:confused: Maybe this forced extra time off is a sign that your foot needs to heal a little more before you jump back in. Trying to be positive but I know it just plain sucks! Hope you feel better soon.

Linda- How did Newport go? I'm really missing my kettlebells but I'm going to stick with just STS for right now. Glad you didn't get that awful virus and hope the kids are on the mend.

I'm on the final week of Meso 1 and had chest/shoulders/biceps this morning. The pushups are coming along much better and probably do about 85% on my toes. I have concluded that my 1 rep max tests for shoulders were way too high! I hit failure and can't complete reps on almost all of the exercises. It pisses me off but I just don't want to push it to the point of injury. I'm sitting here right now with an ice pack on both shoulders:mad:

I'm not going on the RT either. DD graduates from HS and I have an open house to throw ($$$), plus a bridal shower for my niece and a family reunion on 8/1. I'm saving my nickels for next year!

Oh Catherine.....I just got my Cathe 8lb med ball today. WOW..it is really nice! Thanks for your recommendation.

Way to go on the pushups Judy!! I am sorry you are having to ice a shoulder. Shoulders are an accessory to lots of upper body moves and so they get worked a lot (esp with those pushups). I wouldn't sweat it about the 1RM. Protecting your shoulder is the best thing to do!!

Oh and glad you like the medball!

Hey ladies!! I am feeling some better today. I have resolved myself to the fact that I will not be working out for a few days and focusing on recovering. I did however sign up on the wait list on the RT  Guess my head was just too foggy yesterday. My DH told me last night "why don't you just go?" DRAT!! I am invoice #117. Cathe posted the first 20 (I am 12th) on the waiting list have a good chance of getting in. I am not sure what she is basing that on?

Catherine- Glad to hear you are feeling a little better. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get in on the RT.

The STS rotation had Rythmic Step on schedule for today but I haven't done that one in years and didn't want to waste cardio time trying to re-learn it. I did Step Blast instead and then took the dog for an hour walk.

Tomorrow is back and biceps but I think I'll have to switch with legs. My upper back, shoulders, and traps are still very tight and sore.

Yay for DOMS!! I'd do legs to and rest your upper body ;)

I really don't expect to make it in on the RT. 12 people would have to cancel for that to happen. But who knows**shrugs**

I wonder where Linda is today???

Sorry, I was just busy today. And nothing really exciting to post about. I did IMAX 2 this morning on less than 5 hours sleep. Which reminds me I should probably go to bed. Thinking I might do Providence tomorrow.

Catherine
- Glad to hear you are starting to feel a little better.:D

Judi - What is the med ball for?

Hello??? Is anybody out there????:p:confused::p:confused:

This morning I did Providence using all my Kb 20, 25 $ 35#. Had a great workout, was 1 hour and I burned 420 calories. The shame is KBs always leave my back tight. I am definitely going to have to roll tonight.

Hi Linda- Imax2 on only 5 hours sleep would be dangerous for me! I've tripped on my step even after 8 hours sleep:confused:. I'm supposed to do Imax3 tomorrow according to the STS schedule but not looking forward to it. It is my least favorite of the Imaxes. The med ball is for a couple of workouts on the Ab Circuit dvd. I needed a new ball after my dog bit a hole in my old one:mad:

Hey Catherine- How ya doing today? I ended up doing legs since my shoulders/back were still sore and then the med ball ab w/o. I need to snag a partner next time cuz the partner w/o looks fun.

Today really sucked for me. Our furnace went out last night and we had our furnace guy out this morning. Well, we need a new #$%*# furnace and this one is only 13 years old! There's $4000+ out the window:mad: Add TTOM to that and it has been bitchin day! Sorry but I need to vent:eek: Good thing I didn't sign up for the RT.

Linda, great job on Providence with all of those bells  I hope some rollin' loosens up your back

Judi, aaaack!! So sorry to hear about your furnace!! Do check around, sometimes you can get a rebate on an energy effecient unit. Do you think you can get your DH to do those partner abs with ya??

I felt pretty good this afternoon-not well, but better than I have felt in over a week. Now my headache is back  I am planning to restart something on Friday- I hope

Today was LIC Cardio Premix on a 8" step and adding imoact and also adding the Blast only Add-on. Workout was 58 minutes and burned 490 calories. Never did roll my back yesterday and feel it today.:(

Catherine
- How ya feeling today?

Judi - That's a bummer about your furnance.

I did Imax3 this morning. Not really crazy about all the high impact so I don't do this one very often. It always seems to make my back tight afterward.

Linda- Doesn't an 8" step make a big difference? I really feel it when I bump up from a 6" but only for the low impact w/o's. I really need to start trying more premixes. Yeah, the furnace deal sucks. There goes my new diamond studs I had picked out for my birthday!:(

Catherine- Thanks for the tip about rebates. I was also wondering if there would be any tax write-off for a more energy efficient appliance. Guess I'll ask when we get our taxes done. What do you have planned for a workout tomorrow? Keeping my fingers crossed that you will be feeling a lot better!;)

We are getting dumped with 6-8" of snow so I 'll be adding ShovelMax to my workout today:eek:

Hello ladies!! I am still a bit congested today, but feeling much better. I don't know what w/o I will do tomorrow. But I will do something. Right now I am leaning toward Lauren Brook's kb w/o and going light (8kg). Of course I NEED to do some chinups before I lose my ability!!

Linda, did you decide to do STS???

Judy, eek 6-8 inches of snow
