Do You Enter your Calories Burned?

Do you enter your calories burned into the Workout Manager. I tried but the calories don't remain. When I go back to view it, they are back at O. I asked SNM about it and they said I have to enter a MET Value.

Does your Heart Rate Monitor give you a MET Value? How do I find your Met Value? Example on Disc 1 I burned 455 calories. I entered that but it shows zero. I then questimated the MET Value at 5 and the calories burned is 368.75 instead of 455. The 368.75 is overriding my 455.

I don't think that's right about needing a MET value. I always enter my calories burned manually, since it rarely matches what the WM says I should have burned. I just went back and spot-checked some workouts from last month and all of the calorie values remain, including for the workouts that are not preset with a MET value. For example, I chose the category "Weights" for my STS testing days, which did not give me a MET value. It is still showing as MET 0.00 and the calories burned that I entered.

But now that I re-read your question, you shouldn't have to worry about your MET value at all since you're referring to an STS disk. They already have the MET values automatically entered when you schedule the workout. Did you schedule a specific STS workout or are you trying to enter everything manually?

I put the 3 1/2 month rotation. On Sunday I did Disc 1 and the minutes, Met Value and Calories were zero. So I entered the minutes and calroies. Today I did disc 2 and entered the same info manually. When I went back to review disc 1 info and disc 2 info, the minutes were there as I put them but the Calories were zero.

Even if STS has a estimate on MET Value and Calories, I would like to manually put what my Heart rate says. I am sure that we don't all burn the same.

I know that when the old version of the calendar was there, I was able to override the calories.
Nancy, I am glad that you are able to override the calories, now only if I could figure that out.
