"Threads already read" not working?

Several times, I've clicked on threads thinking there are new posts I haven't read, since the symbol in front of them indicated so, but there aren't? To make matters worse, instead of being taken to the end of the thread, I'm taken to the first post again.

And I always do the 'mark forums read" or at least "mark this forum read" when I'm done reading.

Anybody else notice this function not working right?

Hmm...the only 'someone' would be me, and I'm still automatically recognized when I come to the site, so I don't think so.

This always happens with me too.

I've never figured it out.
