So I think what I've decided to do is one week of purely kbs (m-w-sat) and then the next week I'll do one traditional upper body w/o and two days of kbs. Of course I will get my cardio in on other days. I'll see how that goes. I have STS coming and don't even want to do it right now :(
 
I did Newport today and almost hit puke factor several times :eek::eek::eek: quote]

WTG Catherine! I think I hit the puke factor just previewing this workout!:eek: I haven't had the guts to do it yet. He moves so fast, I just don't think I'm ready. Let me know how you like doing an all KB rotation. That was my plan before I got my hip issue.

Linda, another awesome workout! I'm sorry but I can hardly handle CleanMaxing my own house:confused:. Major dread factor for me.

I did Imax Extreme today and actually hit the puke factor 2 times. It is amazing how your cardio capacity declines so quickly when you take some time off. Stupid hip:mad:! Oh well, at least I burned 580 calories.

JJ, nice job with Imax Extreme!! Those Imaxes really get ya:eek: I can not keep up with Anthony in Newport and I probably never will. I just push myself as hard as I can and go at my own pace. I felt much better about the w/o this time. The first time I did it I felt like I spent way too much time staring at the TV LOL!!
 
Today was cardio.I had to take DD to school so time was limited. I did 4 DS LIS & HIS Cardio Premix, then the Triple Crush Exercise from Providence (this is just 2 minutes), foam rolled my low back & Hamstrings then finished with the 10 minutes stretch from Amy's 10 Minute Solution Tone Trouble Spots adding a couple extra at the end. Workout was 1:14 and I burned 558 calories.

Loved the Triple Crush, but need to get chalk. Had a hard time hold that KB.

Catherine - Why still the one day of traditional upper body? Do you feel you are missing something with the KB's only?

JJ- Great job on Imax Extreme, that's one tough workout. I am with you, I can't stand cleaning either. I made my kids go through their toys yesterday. It went well until we got to the stuffed animals, then DS (7) was a puddle of tears.:(
 
Linda, I don't know why. I may still do purely kbs. They are just not as heavy and I am afraid I will lose ground. But I guess not for just 4 weeks huh?

I have an appointment with the podiatrist next Tues. to get the foot injected :confused: I may try some cardio today. I haven't done any since last Tues when I had to stop. It's still pretty sensitive, so I bet it's a no go :( I could always hop on hubby's eliptical--YUK!! LOL!
 
I haven't done a lot of heavy lifting with TT, usually I feel like I am just push myself around, but I don't think I have lost any of my muscle and that is all I care about!;)
 
Good point Linda. I think I am just waaaay to used to doing the same thing over and over again. That needs to change for a while!!
 
Thanks Linda. It's not too bad right now. But I know if I do anything that has any impact at all it will flare it. It just throbs right now.

I will be back in action with kbs tomorrow. That I can do with no problem ;)
 
I really need to get to bed earlier.:( I am tired.

Okay today was one of those mornings that I fought everything, my mp3 player, my equipment, my workout space, my dvd player and my HRM. So to say the least I did not get in as much as I wanted to. I cut the cardio a little short and didn't add any additional stretches.

15/15/14 - 55# ***Switched to dips off the bench to help take the stress off my shoulders I feel doing regular dips***

Then interval cardio at 60/60 ratio for 6 rounds doing Core Repeaters around the step like in LIC. Then the stretch segment from Amy's 10 Minute Solutions Tone Trouble Spots Band Workout.

I am gonna give Firepower a go this evening, but I am askeered :confused:
 
The chins were probably so good because I was so mad at everything for giving me such a hard time.:p Was pretty exciting though!

I just finished FirePower :eek::eek::eek: Somehow I got it in my head that this one was easier than Newport:confused: That's what I get for thinking. A few moves that I need to modify, but great w/o. Unfortunately now my foot is hurting. Better now that I am sitting. But walking is painful :( I thought kbs weren't aggravating it, but maybe they are. DRAT!!!!!!!

Oh, and someone else make me feel better and tell me that you've wacked your knee with the kb?? JJ?? Linda?? My mind and body obviously were thinking very different things when doing the tactical lunge section :eek:

Sorry that the KBs are bothering your foot too! A girl has got to do something! And sorry I haven't whacked myself with a KB yet, but then I've only picked it up twice now. Give me time!:p Wow, how many AOS DVD's do you have?

Catherine, glad to hear your foot is feeling better:) Have fun celebrating your mom's birthday. BTW, I have gracefully hit myself in the leg doing those figure eight to a hold moves and the tactical lunges so you are not alone! How do you like Firepower? Does it use ropes?

What no Empire State?

I haven't been able to post for a couple days. My Grandpa died suddenly on Tuesday and we have been so busy helping Grandma get through this. The funeral is on Saturday and we have family flying in & staying with us so it is kind of chaotic around here. I did manage to do BodyMax2 this morning which I really needed. Wow, what a crazy day! At the dentist all morning, then 45 min drive to pick up DD, then a trip to the grocery store, then I've been doing letters for my church since I got home.

Anyway this morning I did KPC and Stretching with the Ball #2 from Cathe's total body stretching. Workout was 1:08 and I burned 538 calories.

BTW, I go see the massage therapist Sat. morning at 11 am about my hands. Woo-Hoo!:D
