Good Afternoon Chinsters!

This morning I did Shiva Rea's Fluid Power Hip Opening Flow (77 mins.) Had a pretty good practice. It included handstands and backbends. Was able to do handstands and even hold it away from the wall for a few seconds. Even against the wall it takes some strength to hold it that long. She did handstands with feet straight up, straddled and in lotus position. I had a little problem with one move in the backbending vinyasa. I'm almost back to a full horizontal split. Vertical splits are good. Been doing them a lot in Squeeze and Pure Barre. Other than that, it was a pretty good practice.

I think I see just the slightest cut in my arms from this rotation. I'm a true ecto - very hard to build muscle.

Catherine - Glad you're feeling so much better today. Yes, I did order STS. I don't mind waiting till Xmas since I still have almost all of my 1RMs to do but I didn't want to do them too soon since they were probably going to change as time went on. Hope you have a great workout tonight. Only 4+ hours to go!

Afternoon Chinsters,

Today I did a premix from Amy's ASC III, it was combo 1 & 2, combined 1 & 2, power ups, combo 5, power ups, combined 1 & 2. It ended at little storter than I wanted so I added combo 3 to the end. The jumps over the step in the power ups are brutal. Have to admit I had to take few extra seconds to catch my breathe! :eek::eek::p

Catherine - Glad your feeling more lively today!

Marcy - Those sound like some tough workouts! Handstands Wow!
 
Linda - Great workout! My credit card is starting to smoke as my wish list gets longer and longer! Makes me feel better I'm not the only one who has to stop and catch their breath once in a while.

Yes Marcy, I ordered RS!!! Actually I did it tonight. No preview, just jumped in. I need a little work on some of the moves, but didn't do too bad first go round. I am definitely gonna like this one.

I also did weighted chinups with 10 pounds: 3 sets of 5, 1 set of 4 and 1 set of three. I also did a few assisted with the band. My butt is whooped!!!

I am getting a massage tomorrow and then hopefully Sat I can work legs!! I will be doing upper body tomorrow if all goes as planned!

Then did cardio at 60/60 ratio using BC cardio 1,2,3,4,6, & 7, then 4DS HIS skipping the w/u. I also picked up an ab wheel and been playing around with that and my abs are really sore.:p


Catherine - You are going to love this! I looked at the next four weeks and it includes ........ pullups, chinups AND inverted rows!:eek::eek:. All on the same day!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (might have to do one of the substitution :p) Oh BTW what is RS?
 
Linda, glad your shoulder is doing good and :eek::eek: on your lifting!!! You seem excited about the next rotation :p RS is Rhythmic Step.

I had a massage this morning. Ahhhhhhhh!!! I haven't w/o today- being a slug. Should be doing upper body,.........

This morning I did Amy's Kickbox Xtreme (although I really wasn't in the mood to workout this morning). Had a pretty good workout. Find this one easier to follow than ITR and Hi/Lo Knockout.

I think this rotation is working because my jeans are definitely looser! I might extend this for another week or just do some circuits next week before I get back to heavy lifting.

Catherine - I'm so jealous you had a massage today! Glad you liked Rhythmic Step. That was my first Cathe workout and what got me hooked. Great job on the chins! Sadly, none for me today although I'll try and do some when I get home.

Linda - RS is Rhythmic Step. Great workout! Pulls, chins and inverted rows is a lot for one day. Where did you get your rotation from?

Catherine - I am so jealous of your massage too! :p:p You just got RS? That one is fun.

Marcy - Currently I am doing Turbulance Training for Fat Loss by Craig Ballentyne. Don't know if I'll make through all those pulls, chins and rows. There are 3 sets of 8 pulls, three sets of 8 chins, AND three sets of 15 for rows!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: If I do manage to do it I probably won't be able to lift my arms for the rest of the day. At least that will save me some calories!:p:D:p:D
 
I know, I can not believe I had not gotten RS before :eek: I really like it.

I finally got up and worked out. Couldn't figure out for the life of me though why it seemed so tough. Normally I do my weighted chinups on Wed and then rest on Thursday. Well, I rested Wed and did my wt chins yesterday. So upper body was tough.

So do either of you ever do MIC? Is that Cathe's sister in that one? I'm not a fan of Hi-Lo because I just lack the coordination to do it, but it looks like one heck of a workout!!
 
Fumbled my way through ASC 2 this morning. The music seems kind of loud on this one and I need to turn it up be able to hear Amy's cues, unfortunately DH was still in bed and I could turn it up, so I did it without any music.:(


Catherine - I have MIC, but haven't done it in a long time. Which one do you think is her sister?
 
Hey gang. Today has been crazy. I will copy a post from OD:

I have spent the day in the hospital and need your good thoughts, prayers etc for my BIL (DH's brother). He is in the hospital with a rather large lesion on the brain. They are saying it's either a tumor or infection. We'd obviously prefer infection, but either way he will be undergoing brain surgery early next week. This all came on suddenly. Apparently he has been having severe headaches all week and went to urgent care yesterday, who sent him for a scan. From there he was admitted. He didn't call anyone till this morning :( He has some weakness on the right side due to pressure from the lesion, but is on steroids and pain meds. So he is doing ok. He's gotta be scared to death- I know I would be :confused: My MIL is :(:(:( I feel bad for her. Anyway send good vibes, prayers, whatever you do. Thanks!!
