I did Turbo Barre LB for the first time yesterday, and yes, I am feeling it today!!!

My shoulders sure felt that TB upper this morning! On the tricep holds and pulse I dropped to 3's. ;)

Tomorrow is Disc 4 for me.

Good Morning.

Today was Low Impact Challenge. I did the lower body blast/challenge first thinking I was going to do it more then once since I don't know all of the step routines. Well, IDK what got into me but I ended up atleast ATTEMPTING all of them! I didn't do the part where you string them all together. I would have killed myself!:p But I DID attempt them all..even combo 4!!! :eek::confused::eek::confused: I forgot that I am pretty capable of combo 3. One move trips me up but I can fake my way through it easy enough. Combo 4 OTOH..OH.MY.GAWD.!!! LOL I musta' been a sight tryin' to do that!:D So anyway my work out was about 40ish+ minutes having done ALMOST all of it. ;)

Heidi:: Have fun with Disc 4 today! Great job with TB! Endurance shoulder work can be brutal no matter how light your weights are!

Today turned into one of those days! No workout just yet but soooo needing a stress releasing run at this point. So that is my plan for now as soon as possible!

Wendy: AWESOME JOB! Wow you go girl on those combos! ;) I haven't attempted that one yet but hopefully will soon.
The more you try the better you will get. ;)

Michelle: So how are you? What has been up with you lately? Did you get in your w/o yesterday? What's your plan for today? ;)

Wendy - I am doing LIC for the first time later this week so we'll see how I do with the combos.

Heidi - I hope your run helps your stress.

I did AB the full program last night and did well. I had to modify a bit due to the arthritis and leg soreness, but I am looking forward to increasing strength over this rotation so that eventually maybe I can do the push ups with leg crossovers and pulling exerices on the sliding discs.

I am supposed to do Disc 2 tonight, but honestly, I'm not feeling all that motivated so I may push it to Thu. I am not home yet. Not sure yet.

Happy Valentine's to you both as well.

I am also DONE! I did Disc 4 from STS and boy did I ever feel those pushups! LOL! By the end I was begging for NO MORE! HAHA!

Last night ended up being a bust for my run. We went out for chinese food take out and then watched Pirates of the Caribbean #3. :)

My oldest son dropped in for a visit so off I go...

We just watch POTC #3 over the weekend! How did you like it? I didn't care for it nearly as much as the others but still enjoyed staring at Jack Sparrow for 2 hours! ;) LOL

Heidi, I have After Burn back on tap for tmrw. OY! My legs just recovered from doing it last week! :eek::p Friday is Slide and Glide! FUN! :D We leave Friday late morning for a casino weekend. No work outs for 3 days! :eek: Enjoy AT! :)

And you too, Heidi getting in your STS today!!!

You ladies are both disciplined and the rights ones for me to stay accountable too, so thanks!!!

I did LIS LIC pre-mix this morning. I got up late and it was my first time working out in the morning in ages so it was tough, but I did most of it. Since it was my first time, I didn't know all the combos, but I still got my heart rate up some and will get better at it. I LOVE step so it was fun.

I have to make up STS Back and Tris either tomorrow or Fri, then will need to find a way to get AT in, will try, but not sure there are enough hours in the day before my new rotation starts on Sat. If I can get up early tomorrow then I can get both in this week.

BTW, STS Plyo Legs is on week 3 rotation and Cathe says we can sub Turbo Barre to keep low impact. What can you ladies tell me about Plyo - do you think it is too high impact for a person spinal arthritis, or can I modify it somewhat? I can do some medium impact and can soften my landings for some moves. Please let me know your experience.

Good Morning Ladies.


I am going to be tired today. Slept fine until about 3am but then that was all she wrote. :( I stayed in bed until 4:30 when my first alarm went off and then figured I better get up coz with my luck I'll fall back to sleep 5 minutes before I HAVE to get up at 5. :rolleyes:


Today's work out will be Afterburn. Did this one last Thursday too. It's one of those work outs that I love to hate and hate to love! LOL


So no DOMS from y'day's P90X work out! What's up with that!?!? I'm actually disappointed that I am NOT in pain!:p

Stumbled upon and ordered a new work out program this week and already received it y'day! It's a 3 month program that I want to do once the LIS/STS rotation is over. It's called X-Train Fit. Can't wait! :)

Heidi:: Nice work out plan!

Michelle:: It's been a while since I did STS Plyo Legs but it is fairly high impact (sometimes holding a weight in your hand) but those moves are dispersed between regular lower body weight training moves. I imagine you could probably make the work out some what lower impact but I don't know that EVERY move is modifiable. I am going with the TurboBarre option myself simply bc I like the work out alot but give Plyo a try the first time and see what you can do to modify it. If it doesn't work you know you have TB for next time! :)

Guess that's all for now. Gotta finish my coffee and get to it! Happy Thursday! :D

I am SORE today from STS #4! HAHA! All good but I will be modifying today's AT workout for sure.

I haven't done STS plyo to tell you the truth. It looked like too much jumping for me. So when it comes up I will run or do the alternative.

Oh man do I hear ya this morning on the being a bit tired! Got up too early too and have a bit of a headache.

SORE today! But all good. Those pushups really got me good!

I guess you will be going a little heavier next time around on P90X huh? ;)

How was your workout with AB this morning?

I have AT on my list for today. I will modify on the upper portions because too much upper in a row is a bad idea. ;) I have to check the premix selection to see if it just has the cardio and legs only.

So did the work out ease the headache? I hope so. Sometimes it will for me!

After Burn was great. I did the Double Trouble Premix (51 mins). Good stuff! Kicked my tushy good!

Hi Ladies,

I talked with Hubby and he is okay with me working out on Thur nites so that takes the pressure off and I can workout tonight and may get back to the rotation as is, gotta think it through.

That said, I will be doing STS Back and Tris tonight then LIS AT tomorrow. Heidi, cudos on getting AT dun and for the the pointers, I am sure it will be fun and challenging.

Wendy - awesome on your workout! And on that new program...you will have to keep us posted on that when you start it. :)

Hey I almost forgot! I did a dip station ab routine today as well! It went like this...

All Front Knee Raises broken down into the following 6 sets for a total of 60 reps:

15 reps
15 reps
10 reps
10 reps
5 reps
5 reps

Michelle:: Have a great work out tonight! Glad DH is going to let you "borrow" the tv on Thursday nights for your work outs again. ;):p:D Oh no worries, I will definitely keep you posted once I start digging into the X-Train work outs! ;) So what are your thoughts regarding Plyo legs now? Going to give it a try or pass on it?

Gearing up to knock Slide n Glide outta the park, finish packing and hit the road! Gotta drop my son off at my MIL's and then we are outta here! :D Going to hit an outlet mall on the way down to the casinos (Atlantic City) to do some shopping at the request of my DH of all people! Just one reason why I ADORE this man! :D;):p:) May also hit a winery we like to stock up since we will be in the area. Final destination is expected to be reached between 3-4 this afternoon. Good times ahead! :D

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I'm coming home Monday but you may not hear from me until Tuesday morning since no more work outs are planned until then anyway...
