Question for ebay shipping

So I'm a seller on ebay. I happen to list things sporadically. For you fellow sellers/bidders this ? I put out to you:

Would you let someone go days on end bidding on your items to let them have a combined ship amount or would you actually post something like: I combine shipping as long as the auctions end w/in "x" amount of days from each other? If I do specify "x" amount of days, how many days should I choose?

I say,
Auctions ending within 3 days.5 tops. You must pay all at once for combines ship..
Other wise you may end up with no pay bidders.

I buy a lot on Ebay... I would say within 72 hours of the end of the first bought item..the combined shipping ends. This would seem fair to me. They can buy a lot in 3 days, and since they are buying your stuff, you don't want to discourage that!

Okay, I have decided to go for w/in 1 day of auction ending. I'll see how that goes.
