pushups hurt wrists

Hi Forchrist! Yes, do push ups using dumbbells. Place each hand around the bar of the dumbbell vs flat on the floor. This will keep your wrist in a vertical position (perpendicular to the floor). Good Luck!
 
Another solution that worked for me after wrist surgery was to put my hands on my step. I set the step on the floor (4" platform) and toes out like normal, just that I was doing the push up a bit more inclined. I did that for months while recovering and now can "hang" with Cathe on all 72 pushups on toes from Gym Style Chest & Tricpes!
