Christmas Rotation Checkin 12/03

Hey all! :D

Since somebody mentioned starting a new thread, I thought I might as well go ahead. Lori, I'm SO glad to hear that you didn't see any "clocks" throughout the night. They do interrupt sleeping patterns :)

I, too, would love to lose a few pounds by Christmas. I could stand to lose about 10 at the moment, but 5 would be more than enough to make me happy for now. I have gained JUST enough weight that my good clothes don't fit. I could squeeze them on, but then it doesn't look or feel good, and what's the point? And this summer I bought SO MANY nice clothes.... gotta do it :)

Unfortunately, my eating has been very very poor recently. I'm sure I know that it's due to 1.) boredom and 2.) lack of sleep. I have 2 jobs right now, so I'm working 12 hour days. I am already bored to tears at my "main" job, but knowing that my last day is only 3 weeks away.... ARRGGGGHHHH! It kills me to be here! And have any of you noticed that when you are sleepy and forced to stay up that you want to eat more? And carrots and celery don't do the trick.

Less than 2 weeks and classes and my other job go away. Hurraayyy!! I want to get back to running again, too, since I'll be able to see daylight again. I haven't been able to run for a year, and I miss it so much, so I understand where you're coming from, Bobbi. I had plans of running a marathon, and instead I became an invalid :) I was VERY depressed for the first few months. Running is such a lifesaver in more ways than one.

I'm wondering if I shouldn't check out doing something like Weight Watchers myself for a bit. Some structure might help in this case.

Well, I hope everyone is having a great day!

Sara

Yep,I think it was time to start a new tread..that one was getting really long. And it will help get rid of the "clock" situation.
Anyone who don't know what we are talking about, it would be worth your while to go see the first christmas check'in.
I have never been to WW meetings. If I strolled in there they would diffently think there was something wrong with me.Alot of people think I weigh less then what I do.And it isn't the scale that is bothering me.Its the clothes.I hate looking in my closet and realizing that I only have a couple pairs of jeans I would be comfy in.When there are about 15 pairs of jeans there.
My eating as been pretty good so far today. One of my customers brought in some cookies but they were the tinest cookies I ever saw and they only had raisins and walnuts in them.
I haven't got a clue what I am going to have for my dinner.I have to be at work at 5:30....work,work,work......
Lori:)

I have the same problem with my pants.... only 2 or 3 that feel good and I have SO MANY. My eating has not been good today. I woke up VERY late this morning, so I rushed an unhealthy breakfast and there was a bunch of chocolate around the math lab I work in. We have one instructor who is always stocking that room with more chocolate than you can imagine. That's difficult....

I am having a good salad now and will work out tonight... there is some hope :D

And, Lori, I loved your clock situation.... The best laugh I'd had in days. We need more of those around here :D

Sara

Hi everyone. Today I did CTX step and intervals. I'll continue the CTX rotation until I get the BB DVD's. I should get them the first of next week..yeah! I've eaten pretty well today, except for the bag of licorice that's been calling my name(it's almost gone now). Have a great night and don't forget to watch those clocks! LOL!}(

GoodMorning Everyone,
Oh,the snow! I have to be at work by 7 and my hubby is out moving the snow for me.We were only suppose to get 5-10cm and its looks more like 30!Im glad I went for that run Mon night b/c it looks like I won't be running for a while now.It makes it look christmasy tough:)
My biceps are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sore from my workout yesterday.Today is 30min of cardio and legs.I only have 2 hrs between jobs so I may not get it all in.If I have to leave something out,it will be the cardio.I THINK I am going to do Meaner Legs.
I must go face the snow storm..talk to ya later.
Lori

Lori, they probably wouldn't think anything was wrong with you if you walked into a WW meeting. I'm sure there are Lifetimers at most meetings, meaning those who have made goal and are now at maintenance. When you join in person like that, as opposed to joining online like I did, once you reach goal and maintain it for six weeks, you no longer have to pay to attend meetings. If someone did say something to you, it would simply be rude and intrusive of them. I'm happy for you that you don't look like you weigh as much as you do, and I'll be cheering for you to be at the weight you want to be for Christmas!!

I hope it's all right I posted this. I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions you or others might have about WW meetings, and I meant no harm or ill intentions. :)

I probably should have stated that better. Its not WW, its the town I live in.Everyone knows everybody so I would probably be the talk of town.It doesn't take much to to get them go'in.I feel bad sometimes complaining about that 5lbs..b/c I am 5'4" and 131lbs.Far from overweight.I still wear size small in shirts..and a 5/7 in pants.it tkes alot of self confidence to be happy with your body and shape. It seems like no matter how in shape you are...it seems we always want more. But I guess that goes for everything in life sometimes...more money ,bigger house.....you get my point....just wanted to clear things up:)

Oh, I know what you mean, Lori! The reason I joined WW online was because I too live in a fairly small town, and there are only two meeting places within a reasonable driving distance. I didn't feel comfortable at either one, although I know people who have had good experiences at meetings. It's true, I think, what you say about always wanting more! I guess that's just human nature! Glad you weren't offended by my post!

I finishe AllStep and I must say, I hate it (except for the intervals)! I don't think I will ever master the tricky footwork. I started the first combo over 3 times! I also did biceps instead of shoulders because for some reason my delts are sore from the back, triceps and chest workouts I did Mon, Tues and Wed. I have to do them tomorrow and, god help me, LL on Saturday! I think I'll skip the KickBox altogether since my foot trouble makes the high stuff so hard and I haven't found comfortable modifications. In other words I look like a bloomin' idiot when I do it! LOL! At this point, Ctx Kickbox, warm up and shoulders, followed by a nice Yoga work out sounds pretty tempting. Yoga after LL, assuming I survive it, sounds good too! Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow!

My only accomplishment yesterday and today has been getting to bed very yearly. I was FINALLY able to sleep nearly 10 hours and I feel a million times better. There was nobody home last night, so I could just come in and crash. Tonight I will do IMAX 1 and CTX Upper, I think. One thing that got me in shape VERY fast before I went to Italy was IMAX followed immeditately by Slow & Heavy Legs & shoulders. I might start doing that again when I can sleep a lot to recover. Only 1 more week!!! Then I am half-way free :D

Eating yesterday wasn't bad. Last night I was hungry, but not willing to cook. So I had an apple, an orange, and a chunk of cheese. And then a little cup of egg-nog ice cream :( I almost did good.

Oh, and last night when I came home, sitting on my porch was my Troylite barbell system, my mini step, and my new black & gray club step, as well as a few other packages. I was so excited, yet so angry, because we have a group of 12-13 year old kids running around the neighborhood thieving, breaking windows, and bashing cars. I didn't get home until 8, so I'm sure they had been there for a long time. Oh well, I'm lucky they were there, right? I don't get to open them until Christmas, though :\

Have a great day, guys!!

Hi everyone,

Did the step portion of MIC this morning and planning on do the Hi/Lo this evening when I get home. The step portion was harder than I remember it but it has been so long since I did it.

Tomorrow is ME. So far this rotation has been pretty fun. Using videos that I haven't in a while. I know I still have three weeks on the rotation but I am having fun so far.

Eating is pretty good today.

Hope everyone is doing well. Rhonda

I love this checkin! It's such a fun way to stay motivated. I hear you about sleeping Sara. If I wake up at 4:00 tomorrow I am going to go mad! I actually woke at 3:30 this morning but didn't get up until 4:30, just sort of dozed and tried to breath and not get wide awake. I tend to wake up like a frieght train, my little brain ticking off what I need to do that day. So I fervently pray that I sleep until at least 5:00 tomorrow! My eating was not as good as it usually is and I went hunting for something, anything to chow on in the middle of the day. I think it because I am tired and really need to get my circadian rhythyms back to normal. Sweet dreams everyone.

I wish I would wake up at 4:30 or 5!! Unfortunately, that is when I'm finally sleeping nicely :( So, I had a nice, beautiful day of being rested. I did decent with eating. I had a good breakfast, a large lunch, and a fruit and nut only post-workout dinner/snack. I actually didn't snack during the day... oh, wait, yes, I had a couple spoonfulls of peanut butter. There's always something!

I did IMAX 1; it was 9 p.m. by the time I started, so I definitely couldn't give it my all. I honestly think IMAX 2 is harder than the other. IMAX 2 is so much fun, though, so it's "easier to do." :)

Well, here it is again, midnight and wide awake. I think I'm going to try a hot bath to put me to sleep. It's amazing how much motivation you gain when you're rested. It's also amazing how depressed I become when I am overly tired, too. It's such a sensitive, important thing, but we all seem to suffer from lack of sleep. Damn society doesn't know what it's doing.

Ok, off to work on sleeping!!! Have a great morning everyone!

Hi Ladies,
I didn't workout yesterday at all!:-( I worked both jobs so by the time I got home I wasn't in the mood.
I will make up for it today though.I planned on getting up at 6 and doing legs and a ctx cardio but all I remember is the alarm going off and I didn't even remember why it was going off.I crawled back into the bed and didn't get up until 7:45(I looked at the clock again:) )Anyhoo,I plan on doing legs, shoulders and Imax2 today.I will probably jump right in when I get home from work.Sometimes if you want until later in the evening...it never gets done.
Lori

Oh, yes, Lori! It has been my plan to squeeze yoga into the PM but by the time dinners cleaned up, Sam's bathed and brushed, read to and tucked in, my bed beckons and I grab a book and crawl in. But don't beat yourself up for a day off. They rarely hurt and can be beneficial. Think of how much energy you'll have today for Imax 2, legs and shoulders!

Sara, I always say sleep deprivation ruins my life. And it does, even if that does sound like the statment a drama queen would make. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/tales/madamy.gif It makes me scattered. I got up at 4:30. There's nothing worse than trying to fall back to sleep. The trying somehow keeps me awake. I think I will do Kickbox warm up and shoulders today and follow it with Yoga. Perhaps if I get a few AM yoga workouts in, I'll be motivated to work them into my evening routine. Might help this sleep thing.

Hi Everyone,

Finished MIC last night with Hi/Lo and did ME this morning. I couldn't get the abs in so will do that this evening.

Eating was good yesterday up til dinner. I had a piece of cheese, oatmeal, popcorn, and some lady fingers. So today is a new day and I plan on doing better. Hope today will be better.

How is everyone doing? Rhonda

Good morning everybody:

I've been gone for a little while because this busy holiday season just keeps getting busier!!! :)

I did Taebo 8 minute workout this morning just to get myself going and see how I like a 5am workout. It was great - I want to gradually get into doing Cathe that early, but like I've said before my body is not ready to move like that so early in the morning.

My son has been diligently trying out different traps so he can "catch" the Grinch! :) (we've got our work cut out for us, don't we?!?!) :)

I'll be back later, just wanted to say "HI" and let you know I'm still here.

Cheers, Marcia :)

Hello Everyone .
Feeling sooo much better but my lil one has been sick and may have a possiblity of having asthma :( so I have been with her to the doc's this week; it seems all day. He recommended we all get that flu shot and I think we all will today after school. It's seems very bad this year and he mentioned that he has seen way more pnuemonia cases too ...my lil one had pnumonia last winter so I'm being very watchful.

I will start on my intended rotation this Monday, my BB DVD's are expected to arrive on Monday too. Just checked the tracking and they are soooo darned close to me too bad UPS does not deliver on weekends or I would have had them by tommorow.

In the meanwhile I'll be resting up and praying that I don'rt have a relapse.

How old is your little one, ShyWolf? I read in Health magazine that, while butter is no health food, toddlers who consume butter daily have less liklihood of developing asthma. I'll reread it and give more specifics later. My sisters kids have had alot of trouble with asthma and one of my other nephews is very severely asthmatic. It's has increased greatly it seems. I am glad you are feeling better!

Morn' Bobbi.
My lil one is 5 years old. My oldest dd who is 13 now was officially diagnosed with asthma when she was 5 :(
I hope my lil one isn't but it seems to run on my hubby's side of the family including hubby himself. :(
Winters are always bad here with colds aggravating the asthma. Our nebulizer machine gets dusted off and is in use throughout the cold weather months it seems. It was just a matter of time I guess....

I think I'll be doing a brisk walk in my neighborhood just to get my body moving but it's brrr cold out there may end up using my treadmill instead.
