Cheetahs Saturdays Rock December 1, 2007

Grrr...I was hoping to come back and see that Sunny had posted her race report! No such luck I guess. Hopefully she'll come by SOON!}(

Well, as I'm sure y'all figured it was FREAKIN' COLD OUT THERE! I didn't dress as warmly as I should have considering we were walking it. My clients had each other and told me from the beginning that if I decided to run it for any reason it would be okay with them. Well, I stuck it out as long as I could. I'm not exactly sure but I think somewhere around 1-1.5 miles I left 'em. I was waaay too freakin' cold! I had to MOVE! It's not like we were walkin' slowly either! I ended up finishing around the 40 min mark. Considering I walked a decent bit of it, that's not bad I guess. I'm harldy worried. I was not in this for time to begin with. :) They finished in 53:54 I think. Well, something close to that anyway.

Now I'm trying to decide if I feel like working out and what I should do. I don't think LIS is going to work for me like I thought it would so I'd have to pick something else. We'll see what moves me...if anything....LOL

I'll be back a bit later for personals!:)

WOW! How's that for amazing! Sunny and I were posting at the EXACT same time!!!!:7 :7 :7

CONGRATULATIONS SUNNY! YOU DID FANTASTIC! What a freakin' AWESOME time! And you started the race LATE on top of it! WOW girl! You rocked that HM just like I knew you would.

You made me smile when you said you thought of me pushing through my cramps. Isn't it amazing what the adrenaline rush of a race will make you do!?!? WOO HOO!

So, now the questions are....Will you ever run an HM again?

and...

*drum roll please*

Would you ever consider training for a FULL marathon?

}(

wendy- lol, you are one crazy girl. the answer to the first question is the jury is still out. have to wait to the pain subsides, :D and the answer to #2 is a definite no. 13 miles is long enough for this cheetah:7 ...........then again i said i would never run a HM:7 :7 :+

Do whatever makes you happy girl! I just had to ask!

When I finished my HM and I was about to cry from the pain in my legs, I thought for sure my mind was made up about a full mary-the answer being NO WAY! But ya know what? It was like having a baby! Once the pain was gone, I sure didn't FORGET about it but it just didn't seem to matter as much anymore. I knew it was worth it when I sat back and realized what I had accomplished! That was my take on it anyway and it changed my mind....:)

Ofcourse...I still don't want another kid!:p

Still think I'm a nut? }( LOL

well if given the choice I would run a full mary rather than have another kid.... (so the answer to your question is NO, i don't):p :7

I see that great minds think alike! In that case, when some of us Cheetahs pick a full mary to train for and run together in 2009, I will be sure to PERSONALLY email you with the info so you don't miss out!;) :7

YAY...I just bought Itread# 4,7 & 8's 60 minute work outs. Now I have (8) 60 min runs to keep me busy while doing the X. I wanted to run once per week so I will shoot to do a 60 min Itread each time. }( That should keep my running endurance up to par, ey? :+

Yayhoo! Congratulations Sunny! That is great! You did really good! Isn't it great when you finish?

Wendy - Good job on the walk/run! Isn't it funny how when you are used to running in the cold and getting warm, it seems like no matter how fast you "walk"...you still don't get warm:)! Your time was great since you walked 1/2 of it!

Hi cheetahs! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif

Sunny!!!! :: FABULOUS job on your HM…big ups!… http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/happycelebrations/th_magnificent.gif Will there be pics, I hope? How are you feeling?

Wendy :: get thee to Dick’s and buy yourself some U/A!!!

Wendi :: hope you had a short day and were able to accomplish your odds n’ ends…great w/out this morning.

Shelly & Carole :: hi!!! Great to hear from you…Will you be taking in a show or anything tonight?…I’m another one who’s not a big gambler…Only spent $50 in the casinos when I went to LV…big spender! *lol*…In the event that you don’t get to check in tomorrow morning before the race, best of luck to you three! Will be anxiously awaiting your race report…I did knock out all but two items, both of which I will get online, so I feel relieved that that’s out of the way.

Christine :: How was your Macy’s trip? I was there this morning, too, but didn’t find what I was looking for. I noticed that they had some great coats on sale. A Calvin Klein puffy jacket caught my eye as did an Ann Klein brown leather jacket. I tried both on but kept my credit card in my wallet. I know you’re leaving for Chicago in the middle of the night, so I’ll wish you safe travels and a good time that’s hopefully not all business!

Lori :: Hey, KM by itself is hardly slouching…great job!!

Linda :: 4DS Shoulders, Core, and Calves.

Jackie :: thanks for the info on iClimb #24…I wondered about that one…and actually, it drives me nuts that they call it “Juppin Rippin Abs.” Must be the English nerd in me…:)… enjoy dinner and a movie tonight…let us know what you wind up seeing.

Jess :: glad to hear your training's going well.

Lorie :: where are you?

I woke up from a long nap not too long ago and still need to work out. I’ve decided hell no, I ain’t goin’ out there—it’s too cold. So I will do SCC followed by either an iTread or an iClimb. I have to run out to the tailor’s, though, first before she closes.

edited to fix a typo

HI Cheetah YaYa Sisters!

I gotta be quick. I did the 5K I know it seems minuscule to the big girl races , but for me it was a big deal to run my virgin race! I loved/hated it.
Tthe beginning was great, if too fast, the middle was not. At the end it was was better.

It was bitter cold, icy and snowy. 20 degrees with a wind chill of 9 degrees.

My time was 28:23

TTFN,

*Hi Fives Sunny and does happy dance around the room* I'll let you sit out that happy dance, Sunny, as I know you're sore! I'm so freaking proud of you girl! Don't you feel sooo great? WAY TO GO!!!!

Judy - WAY TO GO!!!! That is one awesome time for your first 5k - especially in those conditions!!! I'm very impressed! Are you looking forward to the next? :p

Kristi - Got you card! Thanks!!!

Hi Cathy, Wendi, Wendy, Linda, and everyone else! I'm too beat for more personals! I got to the mall at 8 and found out the website was wrong and they did not open until 9. *sighs* So, I ran home and did KBX again (I love, love, love that workout!). Got showered, and dressed, and took DD14 to the mall with me. Got my jacket - it's a white puffy one with a faux fur trim on the hood (not the one I originally wanted, but I really like it). Then DD14 and I crossed her shopping for her siblings and DH(and most of my shopping for DH) off the list. Then we met DH at "the Counter" and had their fabulous veggie burger. Then I went grocery shopping, came home put it all away, got my nails done and hit Rite Aid. I have laundry in and I'm pretty much packed. So, I can sit for a moment - oops - must go feed the dogs... :+ The life of a mom. Off to Chicago - hope to be able to sign on sometime Monday - when I get to the hotel. Hugs to all my Cheetah Pals!

Judy - Great job! Oh my gosh! That was bitter cold! That would have been a toughie! You did great!

Christine - The jacket sounds gorgeous!

Cathy - :+ Thanks...sorry, my I couldn't think of it at all!

Have a great night everyone!

Linda

Hello Ladies!
This is a very late post. We got home from our family GTG about 40 minutes ago. DS is still up because his eczema is causing him lots of discomfort due to the itching.

Anyway, congrats to all racers. I'm so proud of each of you!! Everyone did awesome! I'm so happy to be a part of such a great group of ladies. You all inspire me.

I'll see you all tomorrow. Hopefully. I have a lot of things on my plate tomorrow that needs to be done. Well, this cheetah girl is calling it a night. DD will be up around 5:30 so I had better get a little bit of sleep. Time to get DS into bed, but by the sounds of his whining it might take another 30 minutes or so.
