It started last spring when my husband was training for the St. Louis Marathan. He got to 20 miles and then bam had pain in his knee. He went to a sports medicine dr and he told him it was some overuse condition where your muscle pulls the knee cap over out of allignment. So he did pt for it and this last year it never got better. He went back to the dr. and got a MRI. Initially that dr said his meniscus was torn, and needed surgury. He got another opinion and was told actually it wasn't that at all (most likely) and it was probably the plica band causing the trouble. They won't know a 100% that's it till they do the surgury. I'm so glad to hear you are recovering well as my DH was pretty bummed and thought his running days were over to keep his knees in good condition to do his real love, heavy duty backpacking. Anyway it's so great to hear such positive results, and relieving to hear one can go back to your original activities.

Hope you're totally recovered very soon!
