Can I sub Butts and Gutts for GS Legs?

I know they're not similar at all but I'm trying to do a month of GS workouts and tonight I should do Legs but I'm not really diggin' the GS workouts and don't feel like doing that leg workout tonight. :( I have a craving to do Butts and Gutts. I know many will say that I should sub PLB for GS Legs but I don't feel like doing that one either! x( UGH!

Thanks, Lainie! I guess I'll do B&G then. In your opinion, do you think doing it's harder and more effective to do Butts and Gutts as-is or do the Leg Blast Premix? Thanks!

p.s. Thanks for the compliment on my nieces! They're such pumpkins, aren't they? :)

I don't know as I've never actually done the Leg Blast premix myself. I've heard it's killer with all those leg presses and walking lunges. It looks like it's all standing work. Here's a breakdown:
Leg Blast 47 ½ minutes

Instruction to warm up insert card
Walking lunges
Lunge/squat combo
Walking lunges
Leg presses
Forward thrusting hammer punch lunges
Leg presses
One legged squats
Side to side thrusting hammer punch lunges
One legged squats
Firewalkers
Walking lunges
Firewalkers
Walking lunges
Lunge squat combo
Low pulse lunges
Lunge squat combo
Stretch

So though it's shorter than the full workout, it might be tougher just because it's all standing rather than having floor work (though that floor work can really work you, too).

Not sure if that helps at all!

Hi Allison

I just wanted to say that the Leg Blast premix is much tougher than the whole thing. It'll have you begging for mercy! }(

<<I have a craving to do Butts and Gutts.>>

Me, too! I LOVE this workout so much. All other lower body workouts are just not as fun, are they? I've been subbing B&G for ALL my lower body workouts. I just don't want to do anything else.

I look forward to B&G so much, and I don't know why because it totally fries my thighs, glutes, and abs.

I was under the mistaken impression that premixes are just shortened versions of the original - what a dork! I just did the Leg Blast pre-mix from B&G for the first time and you guys are right - it's a killer, but a goodie! I added the floor work and the abs and had a great workout. Thanks for turning me on to these (I'll see how thankful I am tomorrow! )

I have Butts & Gutts but haven't done it yet. I've been TRYING to do GS Legs for at least a year and have never really been able to do it all because it's so tough. It sounds like B&G is tougher but, oddly, you all seem to prefer it. Hmm. I need to re-preview it and substitute it for my next leg workout to see what all the fuss is about.

I agree that GS Legs is very tough! The only reason I don't really like it is because of the floorwork--I absolutely hate it! It just feels like it goes on forever and the sequencing of the moves just seems choppy to me. Also, the lunges at the end of the standing work kill me! :)

I really prefer B&G but mostly because of the music! I love, love, love the music. Actually, I love all the workouts from that series (LIC, BM2, Drill Max, B&G) because of the music. I also prefer to do light weight to no weight leg workouts so that's why I love B&G. I don't really like heavy lower body workouts.
