Do you have a regular step? The risers for that will fit the High Step so you can make it taller. (the High Step will go as high as you want it to, justy by adding more risers).
I also have done leg presses on 10" and, like Laurie, just dip down farther on the floor part of the move. Also make sure to push through the heels.
