    P90X or Hardcore?

If you have bad knees (like me), then I would say go for the Hardcores - I found with all of the plyo work in P90x that my knees just got worse. Also, I found P90x very "masculine" and it really concentrated on upper body work - not enough lower body work for me. Just my humble opinion...

Cathe, SNM!! Is music volume supposed to be this low?

RE: SNM - a follow-up question The sound is definitely low on Low Max - I've had to spend literally ages fiddling with my dvd and home surround set up to get the music to an acceptable level - the Intensities certainly weren't like that as the music was booming from the word go! I must admit...

I HATE WORKING FOR A LAW FIRM

I too was an attorney in a law firm in the UK - I'm glad I've moved to the US now as it means I can't practise law anymore, because I was completely burned out. Occasionally, I could be a little short tempered, but that was because I was under pressure with court deadlines and totally stressed...

    Do you eat organic food?

My husband and I are members of our local mercantile co-operative and we buy all organic and natural food as much as possible. It's just so nice to know that the meat we eat isn't from animals that have been pumped full of hormones and fed on animal by-products. Yes it does cost more, but then...

2 Wks of P90X - Comments and Questions

Soosan - you could try using the bands like they do in the workouts - you just need to get some sort of door attachment. I'm not able to use a pullup bar either and don't have the space for one of those towers, so I tend to do one arm rows and dumbell pullovers instead. I am on week 4 of P90x...

Cathe: an easy to grant "HardCore" music request

RE: Cathe: an easy to grant I second that - one of the reasons why I love Imax 2 so much (even though it is a killer of a workout!) is because the music is so upbeat and lively! It almost takes my focus off the pain I'm experiencing! Josie

    What's up with girl's underwear?

In the UK there are some stores that sell thongs and g-strings for pre-teens - I think it's disgusting and totally unnecessary personally. I recall that there was a bit of an outrage at the time and some stores did withdraw these clothing lines at the request of concerned parents and children's...

    Laser hair removal

When I lived in the UK (I've just moved to the US with my American husband!), I worked as an Injury lawyer and had two cases where people suffered terrible burns from laser depilation - the problem was that one of my clients had a tattoo and the laser operator didn't know that you shouldn't...

    O/T:Very Personal-Dealing with parents

My father is always reminding me how much I've cost him financially over the years and basically tried to upset me as much as he can - but then likes to remind me that it's only because he cares about me and worries for me. Oh and he uses my mother too by saying "but your mother is worried sick...

    Jealousy? Anyone?

Actually it was me who said that London was expensive and crime-ridden! I've spent a lot of time there and certainly wouldn't want to live there permanently! But having said that, it is so cosmopolitan and people do seem as though they can just be themselves there. Josie

Slow & Heavy Weight Gain Anyone????

I just finished a 3 week S & H rotation and I put on about 2 lbs - I continued with cardio as well and didn't change my eating so I guess it must be muscle gain! I was a bit upset at first, but I still fit in my clothes just fine and don't feel any 'fatter' - so I guess the weight gain must be...

    Jealousy? Anyone?

Well, I have never been to Abergavenney - but if it's anything like Aberystwyth (I went there once for a University Open day and thought - "Nah!") then it's a pretty 'small town' place - am I right?! I guess you feel more comfortable in an environment where there are other gay people...
