Hi all. I'm Di and DH and I are TTC #1.
I have type 1 diabetes, which puts me in the "high risk" category. I have all my doc's blessing, though, so trying not to worry there.Am a huge Cathe fan, and work out pretty consistently with her and others. I guess I would consider myself advanced?? I like to plan ahead, and was looking at Cathe's beginner rotation. Do you all think this would be do-able when pregnant?? Thanks for letting me share my story! ![]() |

Hi! Just wanted to wish you good luck!! You'll love it here! As for the beginner rotation, it depends on your fitness level and your doctor's opinion. I found that I could modify many of Cathe's DVDs to suit me when I was pregnant, though I skipped MANY workouts and quit working out mid-pregnancy due to a scare with the baby (turned out to be nothing)... My doc didn't want me to lift heavier than 10 pounds when I was pregnant, but many docs have different opinions about this. I modified most of Cathe's high-impact with low impact... etc. Just talk it over with your doc...
Again, Welcome!!

Hi. I am 25 weeks into a high risk pregnancy and when I asked my maternal/fetal specialist about exercise he said I was free to do everything I did before as long as I don't overdo it. I am still running a few days a week and still do just about every Cathe workout. I just modify when needed and avoid lying on my back. Good luck with everything!

Good luck on your TTC journey, and don't worry so much about the working out while pg until you get there. If you're already consistently working out, it shouldn't be much of a problem unless your ob/midwife feels otherwise because of pg related issues that are out of the norm.
