Default What size stability ball?

I'd like to order a new stability ball. My current one (from walmart) feels too small or maybe it's just under inflated. I'm 5'3. The cathe shop recommends the smaller 55 inch ball. Do most of you have that one and find its the right size or did you get the bigger one 65 in? Thanks!

Get the 55 inch ball. I'm 5'4", and I have both the 65 and the 55, and the 55 is just right. You want your knees to be at 90 degrees when you sit on it. The 65 inch is much too big for me, especially when doing exercises while laying on top of the ball or putting my arm over the ball (like preacher curls and side lying shoulder raises). I use it while sitting at the computer instead, and it's just the right size for that!

I agree with Nkhansen1...I am also 5'4" and the 55" is perfect size for me. Hubby has a larger size and it's waaaay too big! (I can't remember if he got the 65" or 75")

I agree, go for the small one. I'm 5'2 and got the small one but it seemed so small. I almost we went for the bigger one (I think because they seem so big when you see them on the videos. But the small one is perfect for me

Stability ball height chart:

4’11″ – 5’4″ 21″ or 55cm
5’5″ – 5’11′ 25″ or 65cm
6′ and taller 29″ or 75cm

I and 5'7 and use a 65cm and feel that it is the perfect size.

Hope this helps

Funny, I too am 5'4" and the 55 inch ball was too small for me: I could not get comfortable or situated on the ball and my legs were not at 90 degrees. I then exchanged it for the 65 inch ball and love it.
