Default Need suggestions for healthy refreshments

Hi guys, I need some ideas. I'm in charge of refreshments for an event. The guests will be teenage girls and their parents. As part of the night, I've been asked to do a short presentation on physical health, and I wanted to stress the importance of proper nutrition in the teenage years. So . . . naturally I would like to have healthy refreshments.

I could easily make something that tastes good to me, but (as my family is constantly reminding me) my tastes are "weird." I'd like to have something that the guests would enjoy. Yeah, we could have veggie and fruit trays, but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas.

Thanks muchly,

I may have a few idea's........

-pita chips w/hummus (popular with teens)

-whole wheat tortillas wrapped with peanut butter (or any type of nut butter) and a banana. Fold closed, cut into pieces and enjoy! Yummy.

-banana's cut up, put on a popsicle stick, dipped into melted dark chocolate. Freeze until chocolate gets hard. Choco-banana pops! Those are gonna fly!

-kale chips are VERY TASTY ! You can get any recipe on-line.

-cheese & whole grain crackers are always a hit with teens. Laughing Cow Light Cream Cheese Spread is AMAZING over any cracker! Ryvita Whole Grain Bread Snacks are very healthy and pair well with cheese spreads, nut butters, jams, anything really!

Hope this helps

How about Quinoa Cinnamon Rolls? These look super tasty and have an excellent amount of protein.

If you are looking for sweet treats or baked goods, I just came across these two online articles with healthier dessert recipes. They aren't all portable for a large crowd, but many of them look tasty and do-able!
