I'm sorry about your MIS tape. It's not a bad sign, it just shows VCRS have attacks of bad eating habits too. Is there any chance the tape can be saved? You could try taking it to a video repair shop to see if they could help it. My daughter spilled a soda on one of my tapes, which promptly got tangled in the VCR. Took it to a video store that did repair work & they took out the bad part, & spliced it together. Thank goodness it was just all the lead-in info section that was destroyed. Might be worth a try. When's the last time you cleaned the heads on your VCR?
