Update 3/15/06

Hi Everyone! I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the highly visible dye injected MRI reading came back showing absolutely nothing wrong with my quad muscles, ligaments, tendons, and menisci...even the plantaris is fully healed.

The bad news is that since they have found nothing obviously wrong, I have to continue resting my leg as I search for more answers. It sure would've been nice to have found something concrete so that we could get to the root of the problem and move forward. GRRRR!

My doctor has referred me to another sports med specialist who works closely and more specifically with sidelined athletes. I'm hoping my symptoms ring a bell for him and we can figure out what is needed to move forward. I have the first available appt. scheduled with this doctor on March 30th. Until then I am continuing with R.I.C.E treatment should this be nothing more than a soft tissue injury requiring a good resting period.

Thank you again for your continuous heartfelt outpouring of emails, letters, and overall support. It is clear to me that you want this presale to continue forward. I'm happy to continue forward as well. It inspires my healing and energizes my spirit.

I may not have a definite date, and by now we can surmise that we may not film for quite a few weeks, but one thing is for sure....I AM SO READY TO FILM and will deliver when I get that green light. Thanks for hanging in there and encouraging me not to rush. I cannot tell you how much that means to me.

Kindest Regards,
Cathe

Cathe,

I know no one wants to start filming more than you do but you are doing the right thing. The most important thing is not to risk further injury until you find out the cause. Going forward blindly would undoubtly sideline you for an even longer period if not (the unthinkable) permanently. The workouts will get done when they get done, and I, for one, am more than happy to wait for what I know will be nothing less than the highest of quality product.

Take care.

Cathe,

I am so glad to hear that everything went good at your appointment but then I know you must be torn because on one hand you seem ok by the MRI but then it just opens up a whole nother can of worms wondering what it could be the problem then. Obviously there is something wrong or you wouldn't be injured again the way you are. I hope that with this new specialist that you will finally get the answers that you so deserve. Take care of yourself and as much as it pains me to have waited this long for your superb workouts, I know that your health is number one. I know that when these new DVD's finally do come out that they will be so great and worth the wait. My husband is in the Army and we will be moving to San Antonio, TX for his next duty station so at least I know that after I get there, I will eventually get a new housewarming gift (the new DVD's)!!! Take care of yourself and your family. We will all still be praying for you. Thanks also for the great workouts, that is the best money I have ever spent.

Toni

Cathe, bless your heart! I recently started the "I Hate Cardio" check-in on the open forum so, as you might imagine, I'm not in any rush for more cardio. Take good care and we'll all be here when you're ready.;)

ETA that I'm really glad your MRI was negative for any major musculoskeletal problems. I'll continue to keep you in my prayers.

Michele

Cathe,

It is good to hear from you. I am glad they found nothing wrong yet I am sorry they didn't since obviously something is wrong. lol That is a mouthful. Anyway I hope you can get it figured out and until then do what the doctor tells you!! That is an order. The DVD's can wait. We want you in full torture mode. ;-)

Keep us informed and please take it easy.

Sabrina

Hi Cathe! I'm glad to hear that the MRI came back with favorable results and sorry you are still waiting for a concrete diagnosis. How frustrating for you.

I have to tell you a selfish secret, though. Waiting on the presale has been really good for me! First, I ordered all but one of the videos from your catalog that I did not own. I did a cardio-intensive rotation in Jan that gave me great results with all your wonderful cardio and total body workouts. Then 2 weeks of cardio and circuit/total body weights, followed by 3 weeks of travel with very little time for working out. (That always kills me, so I can only imagine how you feel at this point.) And now I'm doing my very first ever Slow & Heavy rotation.

I can only imagine how much more the videos you have in the works will add to my fitness level! Keep on keeping us posted about your recovery and have a great Spring Break!

Cathe,
Thanks so much for the update. Please take your time and heal first. I will remain very patient about the presale, but excited for that green light when it comes. Whenever you start filming will be an exciting time for everyone. Thanks again for the update!
Colleen

Glad they didn't find anything, I know it is frustrating for you though. Thank you for keeping us posted!

Take Care :)
Michelle

I can only imagine your level of frusteration at not knowing what is going on. But please, continue to take it easy and get yourself well. We just want you strong and healthy again, no matter how long it takes.

You are in my prayers.

Hang in there!

Maggie:)

Cathe,
before I discovered your workouts, I was basically clueless about weight-training... throwing around 3 lb weights w/o proper form or technique. And I was so bored with my "basic choreography" step tapes. Then I discovered your workouts! Your great choreographed step routines have me smiling thru cardio... and never bored. And with your weight workouts, I'm lifting appropriate weights the right way, and can see results. I'm in the best shape I've been in since high school... and I'm 44 years old. Thank you so much. Please take care of yourself... and don't rush into filming before you feel great and get the OK from your doctors. I've got plenty of Cathe workouts to keep me going!! :)

Thanks so much for the update....but first and foremost please take care of yourself.

Robin:)

PS. Boy, Michele, you'll do anything to get out of cardio. I hope you weren't in that hospital fiddling with Cathe's MRI machine results. We are really going to have to watch you more closely :+

Cathe,

Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm glad you seem to be healing well.
Hopefully you'll be back to your ol' self soon! Take care, Robin

Boy are you going to let us have it once this injury heals. You are going to be ready to go!;)

I am sorry it's still bugging you, but my concern is for your health first and foremost. I will be sending you healing vibes.

Take it easy (I know it doesn't come naturally to you).

Cathe, I am glad to hear that all "seems" healthy for you. It must be so frustrtating. I'd be going stir crazy in your position! Please continue to take care. I'm praying for you! All the best - Susan

Sending you get well soon vibes! Thanks for keeping us updated and most of all thanks for all the great videos you have already given us!
You are fantastic!

Cathe,
Did you ever think that maybe your leg is as afraid of Drillmax as the rest of ME is?;-)
We love you, we will wait, we want you well b/c we want Cathe beyond just this presale we'd like to grow old together:p In numbers only of course because your workouts keep us young.
Best wishes and all my healing thoughts your way.
Mattea

Cathe!

We're on the same page with you! Please, please take as long as you need to recover FULLY from this. There are plenty of other Cathe workouts to keep us inspired in the meantime.

I am so glad the MRI is clear! I am sure you will be back to being a 100% but it might take some time.

Thanks for the update :)

Many hugs and warm wishes,
Faiza
