Default A note to say Thanks!

Hi Cathe,

This is the first time I have posted to the site, although I have been following for quite some time. I wanted to say that your workouts changed my life. I was very ill last September and was bedridden for 2 months. Once done, I was emaciated with a lot of muscle wasting. I could barely climb stairs. I couldn't pick up my son (who was 4 yrs old). First I started with basic step. I remember buying BodyMax 2 before I was even anywhere close to trying it. I watched a clip and thought, "that looks like FUN! I want to do that - I will do that." And the first time, I completed the program, I laughed through the last 10 minutes of the cardio, because I could not believe I actually did do it!
I moved on to other videos and now am getting ready to try Cross Fire and To the Max. Needless to say, there has been a lot of progress! Now instead of saying, "Mommy, why are you so tired?" My son says "Mommy, you are so strong." At 38 I am now in the best physical and cardiovascular shape I have been in since my early 20's. I did it all with your workouts.

There is also a tremendous psychological gain through exercise. When a person is ill at a relatively young age, it is very demoralizing and scary. I was able to get a profound sense of empowerment through challenging myself and advancing through your videos. Even my physician is on board. Whenever I would have a minor health setback, it was never an option to stop exercising. He simply suggested I modify when needed, or use a premix if I was feeling weak or tired on a particular day. (Those premixes really helped!) He knew that sticking with exercise was integral to my recovery. Your programs have kept me engaged, challenged and ultimately have provided me with amazing results.

I know there are many stories like mine. I wanted to thank you for constantly striving for excellence and delivering a very high quality product. I have quite an expansive library of your videos now, and hope to work out with you for many years to come.

Stay cool!

Elizabeth M.

I'm clearly not Cathe, but I wanted to say that your story is fantastic and inspiring, Elizabeth! Congratulations on turning your health around. I suggest you submit it to be spotlighted in Cathe's newsletter. It sounds to me like you've got a good shot of having your story selected and win a $100 gift card. Think of all the new workouts you could get!

Good luck!

Hi Elizabeth!!!

Thank you for sharing your story with us!!!!

I am soooo proud of you, and certainly you should be proud of yourself!!!!

I understand your comment about feeling demoralized when you are debilitated! I have been there, relying on others to do things for me and I HATED IT. I realize that through these challenging life situations we are strengthened considerably in our faith and fortitude.

Congratulations on getting through it and making it to the "other" side!!!

And I agree, it is soooo nice to have videos like Cathe to motivate us...... honestly, I don't know what I would do without my Cathe!!!

Blessings to you!!!
xoxo, Denise

Thank you all for your kind words and support! It took a while for me to get my nerve up to post something. It seems like a great community on the forum, and I plan to participate more.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, you are an inspiration to all. Wow. I am so impressed with your positive attitude and your strong desire to keep moving. Your son is very lucky to have such a wonderful mama! I, too, am so happy you had an encouraging doctor; I think that is very rare. You are amazing, and this story reinforces my constant gratitude for my health and ability to move. THANK YOU!
