maintenance exercise

I exercise 5 times a week. I spin 4 times a week and work out at home one day a week. I do a little weight training. I want to slow down to a regime that will maintain my fitness level with as little effort as possible. How much less can I do and maintain the goals that I have acquired? I have a baby now and find it too stressful to keep up with this level of intensity. Help!

Hi Nan! Your genetic make up holds the absolute answer to this but in order to give you some idea, I would say that you could cut back on spinning to just three days a week and do one day of a total body weight training session (spend about 5 minutes on each major muscle group but 10 minutes on legs). And on your third day of spin you could probably cut your session in half if you worked at the high end of your target heart rate for that short workout. Good Luck.
