HiiT and Tabata without lower body? And weight workouts....

TG007

Cathlete
Hi Cathe,

Love HiiT and Tabata and almost all your cardio workouts (not steps or boxing.... not very coordinated) and your weight workouts.

1.Are there such workouts? HiiT and Tabata that don't use lower body for people with knee problems or ankle problems?

2. Will you have workouts that don't use ball and bands in the future? I have both but would like to know if you'll have something with just dumbells.

Thanks!
TG

Tg007-

There's a heavy bag Tabata in Hard Strikes that I believe is upper body focuses (punching only). I think that fits your needs.

I believe cathe's Hiit are mainly lower body focused cause they increase the heart rate quickly and pretty constantly. Legs are the largest muscles.
As trixo there are alternatives such as MMA, Kpc etc.....

Yes, and I love doing HiiT A LOT !!!!
I feel like I have burnt some calories after I'm done with them.

I only do HiiT and Tabata 3 times a week. But my knees don't like them much though.

I'll try MMA :) Thank you so much!

Thank you! I have that DVD (and MMA) but have a hard time following the moves. I'm not very coordinated.

But I'll try. I have to be able to master it sometime in this life

;) Hi TG007

3times per week is actually the maximum recommendation for Hiit.

Remember to add some Glutamine supplement.
You need it if Hiit is mainly your preference cardio wise :).
Hope your knee feel better.

All the best,
